  • Patent number: 10904279
Abstract: A method can include detection of policy anomalies in packets on a 1553B bus of an airborne system. A computer network defense (CND) capability message is decoded and indicates an interface to monitor. The interface is a 1553B bus of the airborne system. A CND command message, associated with the CND capability message, is decoded and includes a policy set. Packets are received from the 1553B bus. The 1553B packets are analyzed based on the policy set to determine anomalies. Non-anomalous 1553B packets are allowed to reach destinations of the non-anomalous 1553B packets. Anomalous 1553B packets are discarded such that the anomalous 1553B packets do not reach respective destinations of the anomalous 1533B packets.

  • Patent number: 10895640
Abstract: Provided is a detection system that utilizes high dynamic range, monolithically arranged, digital pixel sensors for situational awareness, targeting, tracking or locating. The detection system transmits a radially outwardly directed set of laser pulses into an environment, aspects of the pulses being reflected back by environmental elements to a single pixel array. The single pixel array scans volumetric space proximate the environment for profile characterization of the reflected aspects by the detection system in terms of intensity and multiplicity. The detection system is configured to compare this profile against a library of profiles of known environmental elements to distinguish between the environmental elements and a target. The detection system may be disposed about an outer periphery of a projectile for use in determining when the projectile is proximate the target for triggering an actionable element of the projectile, such as an initiator fuze for an explosive system.

  • Patent number: 10895436
Abstract: A gun sight clamping system utilizes a resilient device and an over-center cam to attach a gun sight to the rail of a gun. The body of the clamping system is clamped to the rail using a clamping mechanism on one side of the assembly and a resilient device on the other side of the assembly. The resilient device operates in a direction parallel to the clamping direction. A cross bar connects the clamping mechanism to the resilient device and provides a means to squeeze the body of the mount to the rail. As the lever is closed, the cam drives the cross bar, pulling the clamping mechanism against the rail. The resilient device allows the cam to move to an over-center position wherein the unit resists loosening during operation. Once the over-center position is achieved, the spring force of the resilient device holds the cam in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 10890656
Abstract: A system and method for detecting concealed weapons using ultrawideband radar detects weapons based on circumference resonance that are characteristic of reflections for cylindrical or conic portions of a type of weapon, and based on barrel length resonances that are characteristic of barrel lengths of the type of weapon. The circumference resonances are detected using ultrawideband radar in the Mie scattering region based on a range of weapons' characteristic radii to ultrawideband wavelengths. The barrel length resonances are detected using ultrahigh frequency radar in the Mie scattering region based on range of weapons' characteristic lengths to ultrahigh frequency wavelengths. Circumferential resonance patterns and length resonance patterns are combined to provide improved weapon type identification without relying on orientation of the concealed weapons. An array of ultrawideband radar apparatus may be configured to provide synthetic aperture radar imaging of a target area.
