Abstract: Various hub motor arrangements, systems, and methods are disclosed. The hub motor arrangement may include a transmission assembly to provide increased torque. The transmission assembly may include a motor gear, a planetary gear, an idler gear, and a ring gear. The idler gear may be positioned farther away from an axis of rotation of the hub motor arrangement compared to the planetary gear. The motor gear may drive the planetary gear, the planetary gear may drive the idler gear, and idler gear may drive the ring gear. The rotation of the ring gear may rotate a housing of the hub motor arrangement to propel a vehicle incorporating the hub motor arrangement.

Abstract: Various electric balance vehicles are described. In some embodiments, the vehicle has first and second pedal housings to support a respective foot of a user. The first and second pedal housings can be rotatable relative to each other. The vehicle can have first and second wheel assemblies. An axle can extend substantially between the wheel assemblies. In some embodiments, one pedal housing rotates relative to the axle and one housing is rotationally fixed relative to the housing. The vehicle can balance and provide locomotion to the user.
Abstract: Various electric balance vehicles are described. In some embodiments, the vehicle has first and second housings with platforms to support a user's feet. The first and second housings can be rotatable relative to each other. The vehicle can have first and second wheel assemblies. A support member can extend within tapered portions of the first and second housings. In some embodiments, one of the first and second housings can rotate relative to the support member and the other of the housings can be rotationally fixed relative to the support member. The vehicle can balance and provide locomotion to the user. The vehicle can be light, compact, and/or have a low center of gravity.

Abstract: A caster board can include a front platform, a rear platform, and at least two neck sections extending between the front platform and the rear platform. The neck sections can serve as a torsion element allowing twisting of the front platform relative to the rear platform. An aperture between the neck sections can be configured to receive an insert. The insert can alter a structural characteristic of the caster board, such as the torsional stiffness of the caster board.
Abstract: An electric powered personal mobility vehicle that includes at least one front wheel and an electric motor that provides rotational force to a wheel of the vehicle. The electric motor is supported by the vehicle and is powered by a rechargeable battery that is also supported by the vehicle. The vehicle can also include swivel caster wheels each configured to rotate about a wheel axis.

Abstract: Various powered mobility systems, such as scooters and wheeled boards, are disclosed. The powered mobility system can be a drive assembly, which can include a motor, transmission assembly, driving wheel, and power supply. The drive assembly can be detachable from the rest of the personal mobility vehicle.
Abstract: Various powered wheeled board vehicles are disclosed. In some embodiments, the vehicle includes a deck having a forward portion and a rearward portion. At least one front wheel can be connected with the deck under the forward portion. The front wheel can be configured to swivel about a first axis and rotate about a second axis. A powered wheel can be connected with the rearward portion. In some configurations, the rear wheel comprises a hub motor.
Abstract: A personal mobility vehicle or scooter includes a least one swivel caster wheel supported at the rear of the scooter. The scooter has a body that includes a deck and a handlebar assembly. The scooter includes at least one front wheel with the deck extending between the at least one front wheel and the at least one swivel wheel. The scooter can also include an angled rear portion supporting a rear swivel caster wheel such that the pivot axis of the swivel wheel is inclined with respect to the top surface of the deck. Embodiments of the scooter also include a swivel braking assembly configured to apply a braking force to the at least one swivel wheel.
Abstract: A locking mechanism can be used for securing a scooter or other vehicle. The locking mechanism can secure a wheel of the scooter in a left or right steering position. The locking mechanism can be manually actuated by the user, such as by a foot or hand of the user. Once the wheel is secured in place, the scooter may be difficult to ride without unlocking. The locking mechanism can be unlocked through a wireless connection with a remote control (e.g. a phone).
Abstract: A kart having a pedal speed controller and other components and arrangements thereof are disclosed. The kart can be provided with a controller for controlling speed; the pedal speed controller comprising a pedestal and a pedal, one end of the pedal is articulated with the pedestal and keeps a certain angle with the pedestal. The pedal speed controller also comprises a sensor connected with the controller, and the sensor can obtain displacement signal along the tread direction of the pedal. The pedal speed controller has the advantages of realizing pedal control of acceleration or deceleration for drivers, avoiding interference with manual adjustment of kart direction, preventing from mutual influence between speed regulation and steering, improving the speed control performance of the kart, and improving the driving experience.
