  • Patent number: 4105349
Abstract: Locking means comprising a plate with a plurality of spaced openings through which the free end of a flexible member, such as a rope or cord, is strung through, to form an adjustable loop exteriorly of the locking plate, so that the flexible member can serve as an anchoring, mooring, tethering or suspension line. The locking plate has a projection which engages the flexible member as tension is applied to the flexible member to prevent movement of the flexible member relative to the locking plate. • Patent number: 4094091
Abstract: An integrally formed plastic molded spinner toy unit with means for attaching same to a support, such as the handlebars of a bicycle or the like in which the entire unit is integrally molded of plastic material and comrises an oval ring frame member, with a spinner molded within said frame member. The spinner has upper and lower journal pins which extend exteriorly of the spinner from the opposite sides. The frame member has bearings for detachably receiving the journal pins and the frame member is provided with attachment means exteriorly of the frame member to permit the entire unit to be readily secured to the handlebars of a child's bicycle or tricycle. The entire structure is molded in a one-shot operation and is placed unwrapped in a box of cereal as a premium item. When initially used, the spinner is readily detachable from the frame and the journal pins thereof are inserted into the bearings and when thus assembled and placed on a bicycle, the spinner will rotate with the portion of the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 4052812
Abstract: A toy object that repeatedly submerges and rises in the water, which toy is plastic molded and has a chamber for receiving baking powder and the like. The toy has a cap member integrally molded therewith and connected by a strap. The cap member serves to cover the powder chamber yet permits water to enter the powder chamber which will cause a bubble to be formed in a bubble or gas chamber on the underside of the cap, the cap also forming a holder for supporting a separately formed ballast rod in an off-center position. The toy will descend to the bottom of the water vessel and when the bubble forms in the bubble or gas chamber and enlarges it will cause the toy to ascend towards the top water level. The toy will remain at the top water level for a short period of time during the period that the bubble continues to enlarge in the bubble chamber and during this period the toy will be influenced to tip to one side due to the off-center ballast rod.

  • Patent number: 4031656
Abstract: A plastic toy integrally formed and molded in an injection molding machine and comprising a relatively thin body portion, a propeller with angled blades and a ring-like member as part of the body portion in which the propeller is manually detachable from the integrally formed toy unit and is mounted for rotation with respect to said body portion. The ring-like member has a thickness or width closely approximating that of the thin body portion and with lateral extensions on said ring-like member. The ring-like member permits securement of said toy unit on a support, such as the bars of a bicycle or tricycle so that the forward movement of the unit will cause said propeller to rotate with respect to the body portion.

  • Patent number: 4016891
Abstract: A dental floss holder for supporting a strip or length of dental floss in position ready for use which comprises a forked member having a pair of spaced arms and an extension at the inner end of the forked member. A dental floss strip of a prescribed length is strung on the holder so that the opposite ends of the strip are adjacent the extension, with a portion of the strip extending between the spaced arms. The extension is adapted to be detachably secured to the end of a handle which is part of a toothbrush, with the opposite ends of the strip being held locked between the extension and the handle end and with the portion of the strip between the arms maintained in a tensioned and taut condition. The extension may be in the form of a socket which receives the end of the handle. In another version the socket receives a sleeve which locks the opposite ends of the strip in a secured and taut position before the dental floss holder is secured to the end of the handle.
