  • Patent number: 4179841
Abstract: A toy object such as a submarine or the like with a ballast chamber and an air chamber dimensioned such that normally in a static position the body floats in water with only a small portion of the body extending out of the water. The ballast chamber is filled with water and the air chamber is buoyant and causes the top object to float. Diving planes extend outwardly from the body such that when a motor is activated the toy moves forward, submerges and stays submerged so long as there is forward motion. When the motor stops the toy object rises to its static position.

  • Patent number: 4167156
Abstract: An animal leash including an elongated leather strip on which there is sewn a transparent polyvinyl chloride strip having a prism design on one surface thereof and an opaque polyvinyl chloride strip secured to the one surface of the transparent strip. The combined polyvinyl chloride strips are sewn to the leather strip resulting in a leash having a light reflective surface. The areas around the stitching are crimped thereby increasing the reflecting angle of the polyvinyl chloride.

  • Patent number: 4165061
Abstract: A molding unit for forming a frozen liquid confection and the like comprising a container of molded or a plastic material and integrally molded with a ring-like member, which ring-like member is readily severable from the container and positioned between posts or pins on the container so that a portion of the ring-like member extends into the container to be frozen into and embedded in the frozen product with a portion of the ring-like member extending exteriorly so that it may be grasped and used as a handle to hold the finished frozen product.

  • Patent number: 4158257
Abstract: A pantograph which is integrally molded of plastic material and as an integral unit comprises a plurality of links, with certain of said links having an integrally formed leg, pin and bearings, with one of the links having means for receiving and supporting a writing instrument. The integral unit is such that the various links and parts may be disconnected from their integrally formed unit and assembled and connected so the links pivot with respect to each other and same is operated as a pantograph. The parts being pivotally connected by their own means without the use of extraneous fastening means. Two alternate embodiments are shown both having a clip to secure the stationary end of the pantograph to a writing surface with one being provided with a movable pointer thereby allowing the pantograph to be used for two to one reproductions or one-half to one reproductions.

  • Patent number: 4156986
Abstract: A one-piece toy vehicle comprising a body having opposing side walls, a circular transport member integrally molded therewith and separable therefrom, the transport member having an axle extending outwardly therefrom with journals at the distal ends thereof, means for supporting the axle journals with respect to the side walls to permit free rotation of the circular transport member with respect to the body with the rim of the circular transport member extending beyond the lower boundary body to provide a rolling surface for the toy vehicle. Means are provided in the transport member for accommodating a ballast such that the weight ratio of the transport member and ballast to the toy vehicle is about 1.

  • Patent number: 4134227
Abstract: A toy parachute kit having a toy parachute comprising a frame member which includes a central base and a plurality of spaced, radially extending flexible arms with the arms having canopy attaching means at their outer ends. The entire frame member is integrally formed as a single unit of plastic material in an injection molding machine. A canopy is attachable to said canopy attaching means so that the frame and the canopy form a toy parachute. The parachute is collapsed by bending the arms towards each other and folding the canopy. The parachute in this collapsed position is inserted in a tubular member from which it is manually blown outwardly. The diameter of the central member or base is greater than the diameter of the tubular member so that the parachute cannot accidentally or otherwise be sucked into the mouth of the user.

  • Patent number: 4113251
Abstract: A target game wherein a missile having an end thereof provided with filamentary hook-like material of the type manufactured by the Velcro Corporation in conjunction with an open weave netting having openings in the range between of about 1/2 millimeter and 3 millimeters. Target representations each consisting of a solid member having indicia thereon, are positioned with the netting intermediate the representations and the missile thrower. When the missile having only the Velcro hooking elements thereon strikes the net, the net traps the missile to indicate the relative position of the missile and the target representations. The netting is such that it is easy to see the target representations therethrough.

  • Patent number: 4108104
Abstract: A one piece molded synthetic organic resin structure including a base and an arm connected thereto at spaced apart points by thin struts easily severed to separate the arm from the base. Connection means are provided on the arm and the base so that one end of the arm can be fixedly connected to the base leaving a free end of the arm overlying a portion of the base, the free end normally being urged against and in contact with the base. The arm is sufficiently flexible to permit the free end to be bent away from the base without breaking the arm, the release of the arm resulting in a snap movement thereof against the base causing a loud noise.

  • Patent number: 4004597
Abstract: Means for supporting a strip or length of dental floss in position ready for use. The means comprises a handle with a forked member at the end thereof having a pair of spaced arms and a movable anchoring and locking member supported in an opening in the handle. The strip of dental floss has its terminal ends wound around the stem of the anchoring and locking member and is adapted to lie in the longitudinal grooves in the face of the arms and extend across and between the arms, with the opposite terminal ends of the floss secured to the anchoring and locking member. The movable anchoring and locking member is adapted when moved axially into the opening to tighten the strip of dental floss across the forked arms and lock the opposite ends of the strip against sliding on the stem of the anchoring and locking member during use thereof. The handle may be that of a toothbrush so that the dental floss holder and toothbrush are an integral unit.
