  • Patent number: 8117086
Abstract: An order tracking system comprising an interface to an order tracking database for users such as sales agents and sales managers to quickly find orders and track them as they progress. The order tracking system may track merchant orders for payment processing equipment to be installed in one or more business locations and the initiation of related payment processing services using the installed equipment. Trigger events within multiple internal computerized business applications are communicated to the order tracking system where they are stored in the order tracking database. The computerized applications that are used to manage internal business may track many activities and events, some of which are trigger events, that result in updates to the order tracking database. The trigger events from the various internal business applications allow a user of the present invention to obtain a comprehensive view of the status of an order for a payment processing solution.

  • Patent number: 7729966
Abstract: A telephone interface to an Internet payment processing system. The interface may be installed on equipment used to process a card transactions. When a request for authorization is initiated, the interface dials a telephone number and establishes a connection to a communications server. The interface creates a message comprising the transaction data that conforms to the hypertext transport protocol (HTTP) and transmits it over the telephone line to the communications server. The communications server establishes a TCP/IP connection to a web server and the HTTP message is forwarded to the web server where transaction data is extracted from the HTTP message and formatted for submission to a card transaction processing network. The transaction is submitted and an authorization code approving or denying the request is returned from the network to the web server, to the communications server, and then to the merchant terminal using the telephone line.

  • Patent number: 7725351
Abstract: An interface for an integrated POS solution that allows a merchant to process card payment transactions through a secondary transaction payment processing network. The interface of the present invention expands the functionality of POS system by expanding the scope of use of a secondary port in the POS system. A primary POS port connects to a primary transaction payment processing network and a secondary POS port connects via an interface to an Internet payment gateway and then to a secondary transaction payment processing network. The interface converts the secondary port message formats into a message format for processing through an Internet payment gateway and secondary transaction payment processing network. The interface also performs additional reasonability and security checks typically not performed by a secondary port on cardholder track data. The improved processing of track data results in fewer declines so that transactions are processed more efficiently and accurately.
