Patents Assigned to RDV Systems Ltd.
  • Patent number: 8427473
Abstract: An electronically implemented method of on-site visualization of building information model data, the method constituted of: loading a 3D scene comprising building information model data; receiving real time positional information comprising geographic coordinate information and orientation information; rendering a pseudo-realistic image of the loaded 3D scene responsive to the real time positional information; and displaying the rendered pseudo-realistic image. Preferably the method further provides for displaying engineering information of the building information model responsive to the real time positional information. Preferably, the pseudo-realistic image provides shadowing responsive to real time chronographic information and the received real time positional information.

  • Patent number: 8314791
Abstract: A computer implemented method of determining a view impact of a target structure, the method constituted of: loading a 3D scene; determining a view point and direction of interest of the loaded 3D scene; rendering, without the target structure, a plane of the loaded 3D scene image perpendicular to the determined view point and direction of interest at a distance from the view point distal of the target structure; counting the number of pixels for the rendered plane without the target structure; rendering, with the target structure, a plane of the loaded 3D scene image perpendicular to the determined view point and direction of interest at the distance from the view point distal of the target structure; counting the number of pixels for the rendered plane with the target structure; and calculating the difference between the counted pixels with the target structure and the counted pixels without the target structure.

  • Patent number: 8031210
Abstract: A method of rendering a computer generated 3D scene integrated with a base image, the method comprising loading a base image, such as a photograph, and a computer generated 3D scene or model. The base image is displayed on a monitor, and in one embodiment the calibration of the camera which generated the base image is determined. The 3D model is rendered as an overlay of the base image responsive thereto. In another embodiment, the camera calibration of the 3D scene is made consonant with the base image by selecting corresponding points. The base image is then additionally displayed at a predetermined transparency as an overlay of the 3D model. A user then selects pixels of the base image overlay for placement in the foreground. The selected pixels are then displayed without transparency and the balance of the base image overlay removed rendering the integrated image.

  • Patent number: 7978192
Abstract: A method of sight distance analysis comprising: acquiring a scene-graph representation comprising three dimensional entities; acquiring at least one three dimensional object representation within the scene graph environment; acquiring a target object representation; selecting at least one camera position; positioning the acquired target object representation in the scene graph representation at a distance from the selected at least one camera position; and determining a visibility factor for the positioned target object representation.

  • Patent number: 7692649
Abstract: A computer implemented method of visualizing an infrastructure comprising: acquiring a cross section definition, the definition comprising points defining a link and link information, each of the points exhibiting a type; creating at least one three dimensional face linking points of a same type; assigning a face rendering for each of the created at least one three dimensional faces with a material definitional associated with the link information; and displaying the faces with the rendering. The invention also provides for a computing system operable to: acquire a cross section definition, the definition comprising points defining a link and link information, each of the points exhibiting a type; create at least one three dimensional face linking points of a same type; and assign a face rendering for each of the created at least one three dimensional faces with a material definitional associated with the link information.
