Abstract: A system and method for allowing a 2D character to perform a 3D motion having x-axis, y-axis and z-axis information is provided. In the present invention, 3D human motion data entered is analyzed to obtain motion information of angles, coordinates and depths of all human body parts in the 3D motion data. By matching a sprite with the 3D motion, an image of each body part of the 2D character is capable switching to a reasonable image for a particular angle according to angle information of the 3D motion data, and adjusting a size or deforming the image of each body part of the 2D character according to the depth and angle information of the 3D motion data. Therefore, the 2D character is allowed to achieve visual performance effects of frontal performance, sideways performance, turning performance or rear performance having depth information as a 3D character.

Abstract: A caricature generating system and method. The caricature generating system comprises an edge tracing and stroking unit, a posterizing and texturing unit, an image blending unit, a facial image adjusting unit, a cartoon theme composition unit, a styling parameters database comprising a plurality of styling parameters including the control parameters for edge tracing, stroking, posterizing, and texturing, a face adjusting parameter database comprising a plurality of face adjusting parameter set, and a cartoon theme database comprising a plurality of cartoon themes, thereby creating a caricature from a facial image. The styling parameters (including the control parameters for edge tracing, stroking, posterizing, and texturing), created manually or by a software, comprise oil paint, pastel, a wax crayon, marker pen, pen drawing, tempera paint, glue color paint, halftone, watercolor paint, block print, woodcut, color pencil, charcoal and their combinations.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an image-adjusting system and method, and more particularly, to a system and method for adjusting a facial image. By a set of adjusting parameters that by using a face-adjusting template stored in a database of face-adjusting template to adjust the image data of a facial image, wherein the database of face-adjusting template comprises plural data of face adjustment parameter generated by computer software or manual adjustment, such as skin texture, proportion of facial features, and variations of expression, etc., for improving the quality of a facial image, moreover, the arrangement and combination of the plural face adjustment parameters can further constitute different face-adjusting templates, so that the facial expression may be appropriately modified to generate the effect of different facial images.
