Patents Assigned to Recon Dynamics, LLC
  • Patent number: 10580276
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically tracking tools and managing tool inventory. Tools may be assigned to a work group or crew. Tools are tracked and monitored to determine whether the tools are with their assigned group, relocated to a different group, missing, or left behind at a job site. For relocated tools, the tool tracking system may identify and output the time and the group to which the tool has been relocated. For tools that are missing, the system may compute and output the group or crew, time, and location in the form of a street address, latitude, longitude, and/or map where the missing tool was last seen. The system may also send out real-time notifications (e.g., SMS text messages, emails, phone calls) to designated personnel so that an appropriate action can be taken. The tool tracking system also acts as an inventory management system for tools.

  • Patent number: 9776847
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring safety of work vehicles and worksites. Work vehicles and worksites may be provided with target object sensor units for detecting a condition regarding safety determinative aspects of the work vehicle or worksite. The target object sensor units communicate data regarding the safety determinative aspects to a data acquisition and communication unit that produces safety status data. The safety status data is analyzed to determine whether to issue a notification to a notification unit to alert workers of an unsafe condition. The data acquisition and communication unit transmits the safety status data to a server/processing unit for further analysis. The server/processing unit may track the safety status data regarding each worksite or work vehicle and generate statistical data regarding the safety status data. The server/processing unit may communicate with user interface to display notifications and statistical data.

  • Publication number: 20120209554
Abstract: The location of an asset can be determined in three dimensions using pressure data from reference sensors in combination with conventional two-dimensional location technology, such as GPA or TDOA. In a building, reference sensors are distributed on multiple floors and transmit accurate pressure readings to a receiver. The asset also has a pressure sensing element and transmits the pressure at its location to the receiver. The asset pressure value is compared with the reference pressure sensor values to determine the floor in a building on which the asset is located. Thus, the combination of accurate two-dimensional location technology and pressure sensors can accurately determine the location of an asset in three dimensions.

  • Patent number: 8068799
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) receiver system that is configured to achieve high dynamic range may include at least one antenna and a plurality of receivers connected to the at least one antenna. The plurality of antennas may be configured to provide different gains. The RF receiver system may include an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter subsystem connected to the plurality of receivers. The A/D converter subsystem may include a plurality of A/D converters. An overall digitization range of the A/D converter subsystem may be greater than a digitization range of any of the plurality of A/D converters individually. The overall digitization range of the A/D converter subsystem may be sufficiently large so as to accommodate a desired dynamic range of the RF receiver system.

  • Patent number: 7969348
Abstract: A wide area location and telemetry system may include a wide area location and telemetry system server that is configured to determine wide area location and telemetry system data about an object when the object is located within the coverage area of the wide area location and telemetry system. The wide area location and telemetry system server may also be configured to receive localized location and telemetry system data about the object when the object is located within the coverage area of a localized location and telemetry system. The wide area location and telemetry system may also include a database and a database manager. The database manager may be configured to store the wide area location and telemetry system data and the localized location and telemetry system data in the database.

  • Patent number: 7796675
Abstract: A device for site monitoring is disclosed. The device may include a communication interface configured to receive site monitoring data from a site monitoring system. The communication interface may also be configured to wirelessly transmit the site monitoring data to a base station. The site monitoring data may include a device identification. The device also may include a processor and memory. The memory also may include two pseudonoise (PN) codes, namely a first PN code and a second PN code. The site monitoring data may be received from the site monitoring system. The site monitoring data may be spread using the first PN code to provide first spread site monitoring data. The first spread site monitoring data may be spread using the second PN code to provide second spread site monitoring data. The second spread site monitoring data may be transmitted using a burst direct sequence spread spectrum radio signal.
