Patents Assigned to Rectorseal Corporation
  • Patent number: 5503757
Abstract: An improved composition of matter and method for neutralizing acid in air conditioning or refrigeration systems is disclosed. An acid neutralizing substance (such as an alkali metal hydrate) is supersaturated into an anhydrous alcohol to form an alkaline solution. The solution is then mixed with a lubricating oil, and the resulting mixture introduced into a refrigerant compressor system on the high pressure side of the compressor. The improved composition and method can also be utilized to prevent the formation of acid in a compressor system. The improved composition is also used to neutralize any acid in refrigerants prior to disposal. The improved composition is also used to neutralize any acid in recycled refrigeration oil prior to reuse of the oil.

  • Patent number: 5329647
Abstract: A flush valve for a conventional toilet which replaces the conventional flapper valve assembly and seat and operates in conjunction with the standard ballcock valve. A hollow annular drain stopper seat is connected to the upper end of a male threaded cylindrical shank secured in the drain outlet opening of the tank that communicates with the bowl. A stopper fits in a central passage of the drain stopper seat and may be lifted so that water from the tank drains into the bowl through the central passage. At the same time, high pressure water is injected downwardly and tangentially into the central passage through a plurality of circumferentially spaced orifices in the interior cylindrical wall of the drain stopper seat. Water is supplied under pressure from the ballcock valve through a filler hose to an upper pressure chamber in the drain stopper seat that communicates with the orifices.

  • Patent number: 5307841
Abstract: A test plug for sealing a waste pipe includes a generally cylindrical piston having an inwardly tapered lower end with a maximum outer diameter slightly smaller than an inner diameter of a waste pipe. A threaded rod has a segment that extends through the unthreaded central bore of a cylindrical holder and has a lower end connected to the piston. A knob is screwed over the upper end of the rod. An elastomeric O-ring surrounds the tapered lower end of the piston and is deformable in a radially outward direction into sealing engagement with an inner wall of the waste pipe by expanding the O-ring over the tapered lower end of the piston. The knob is turned to pull the rod upwardly through the holder. This causes the lower end of the holder to push the O-ring downwardly over the tapered lower end of the piston, thereby expanding the O-ring against the inner wall of the pipe. A plurality of gripping teeth are pivotally mounted in slots formed at circumferentially spaced locations about the cylindrical holder.
