Abstract: A unit (3) for fitting on the open top of a container (1) made of cardboard, corrugated board or similar lightweight semi-rigid sheet material, said unit including securing means (10) arranged to be located and secured in an aperture (15) in a side wall of the container, spaced downwardly from the top thereof, to secure the unit to the container, the said securing means being arranged to extend through the said aperture and to protrude inwardly of the container wall, and being formed as a hollow element to define an outwardly opening but inwardly closed hand hole in the container wall, which hand hole is closed off from the container interior. In an alternative form the hand hole is not necessarily inwardly closed, but the securing member is locked in position.

Abstract: A dispensing valve unit for a gasified beverage, which unit (1) is adapted to be operatively connected both to a container (2) of gasified beverage and to a container (3) of gas for topping up the said beverage container with gas, and is so arranged as, when operated, both to dispense the beverage by gravity flow and to cause topping up gas from the gas container, regulated to substantially the same pressure as exists in the beverage container, to be supplied to the beverage container to replace the beverage dispensed therefrom.

Abstract: A lidded container made of plastics material comprises a body (10) with a top rim (11) and a lid (12) with a flange (18) for sealing engagement inside the rim (11). The lid (12) has a web (17) part carrying said flange (18), which depends therefrom, and also carrying a depending skirt (16) for surrounding the outside of the rim (11), said skirt (16) having a plurality of inwardly-directed projections (21) each engageable in latching relationship in a recess (31) on the outside of the rim (11), and said web part (17) having apertures (24) corresponding to said projections (21), whereby a tool can be inserted through each aperture (24) to disengage the corresponding projection (21) from said recess (31).

Abstract: There is provided a web printing apparatus (20 ) comprising a web feed means (4, 5, 6), two or more printing stations (21, 22) arranged to print radiation-curable ink onto a web (3) and a primary radiation source (11) arranged to radiate said web with an ink-curing radiation after said web has passed a first said printing station (21) and before said web passes the subsequent printing station (22), wherein said apparatus further comprises a plurality of secondary radiation sources (13, 14) each extending part way across the width of said web and each being arranged to radiate a part of said width after said web has passed said first printing station and before it has passed said subsequent printing station.
