Abstract: Embodiments are directed to secure communication over a network. If a source node sends a communication to a target node, a source gateway may forward the communication to the target node. The source gateway may provide a gateway identifier (GID) that may be associated with one or more target gateways associated with the target node. Further, the source gateway may embed marker information that includes at least a portion of the GID in the communication. If the GID is associated with more than one target gateway, a TMD selects one target gateway from the more than one target gateways. Also, the TMD provides a gateway key associated with the selected target gateway that is associated with the communication. And, the TMD may provide the communication to the selected target gateway that provides the communication to the target node.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic in a network. A network monitoring engine may monitor networks to collect characteristics associated with network flows. The network monitoring engine may be arranged to identify entities on the network based on characteristics associated with the network flows. The network monitoring engine may provide entity profiles based on the identified entities and the characteristics. A configuration management engine may compare the entity profiles with configuration item (CI) entries in a database. The configuration management engine may provide discrepancy notices based on differences discovered during the comparison. Accordingly, the network monitoring engine may execute one or more policies to perform one or more additional actions based on the one or more discrepancies notices. Also, the configuration management engine may perform audits of an organization's information technology infrastructure to identify one or more violations of compliance policies.

Abstract: A predictive time base generator having predictive synchronizer and replica delay element coupled with the synchronizer feedback delay loop. The predictive time base generator receives a clock signal delayed by a predetermined clock delay and produces a predictive time signal advanced in time by an amount represented by the replica delay element. The replica delay element can replicate one or both of a predetermined clock delay and a predetermined data delay, substantially nullifying the respective delays in critical signal paths of a device. The replica delay element can include replicas of structure(s) found in an incoming clock path and an outgoing data path, such elements including, for example, voltage level shifters, buffers or data latches, multiplexers, wire element models, and the like. A predictive computer bus interface adapter which incorporates the aforementioned predictive time base generator also is provided.

Abstract: Tube connectors and tube connector systems are provided. An exemplary system includes a first sleeve, a second sleeve, and radially compressible ring. A tube fits radially inside of the ring and the first and second sleeves. As the first and second sleeves are coupled and brought closer together, inner surfaces of the sleeves exert a radial force onto the ring, causing the ring to radially compress onto the tube.

Abstract: An automatic paper dispensing apparatus for dispensing one of toilet paper and paper towels includes a protective cover hingably attached to the housing, in which the housing of the paper towel dispensing version of said apparatus further includes a pair of parallel end shields disposed in a lower part of said housing, each of the parallel end shields being perpendicular to a rear plane of said housing and spaced to allow positioning of a rotatably supported support drum and a pressure roller used to ensure feeding of a strip of paper from a take-off reel disposed in an upper part of the housing. Each of the end shields include elastically deformable tongues having recesses to accommodate the pressure roller and to position opposing ends of the support drum. The housing of the toilet paper dispensing version includes a front end shield and a rear wall, each of the front end shield and a rear wall of the housing being spaced to allow positioning of the support drum and the pressure roller therebetween.

Abstract: A process for making abrupt, e.g. <20 nm/decade, PN junctions and haloes in, e.g., CMOSFETs having gate lengths of, e.g. <50 nm, uses a mask, e.g., sidewall spacers, during ion implantation of gate, source, and drain regions. The mask is removed after source-drain activation by annealing and source and drain extension regions are then implanted. Then the extension regions are activated. Thereafter halo regions are implanted and activated preferably using spike annealing to prevent their diffusion. The process can also be used to make diodes, bipolar transistors, etc. The activation annealing steps can be combined into a single step near the end of the process.

Abstract: A composition and method for the treatment of wounds comprising a topical semisolid composition capable of providing a moist environment for a wound and reducing skin contraction by promoting increased water content in wounds becoming dry and reduced water content in wounds having excess exudate, wherein the topical semisolid comprises water and a polyhydric alcohol having two or more gelling agents. The topical semisolid composition is used in conjunction with antibiotic formulations.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and software product generates deformation weights for application of a deformation function on a geometric model. The user, working directly on the points of the geometric model, including its surface, defines a deformation area having a focal region fully affected by the deformation and a falloff region only partially affected by the deformation. Deformation weights are then automatically calculated for all points in the regions affected by the deformation, using a technique that creates a smooth and natural decrease in weights from the focal region to the falloff region. Several options are available to the user to control and monitor deformation weight calculations and weighted blending, and to visualize the deformation weights themselves.

Abstract: According to the invention, there is provided an inbred corn plant designated 91INH2. This invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the inbred corn plant 91INH2, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing the inbred plant 91INH2 with itself or with another corn plant, such as another inbred. This invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing the inbred plant 91INH2 with another corn plant, such as another inbred, and to crosses with related species. This invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of the inbred corn plant 91INH2, and also to the RFLP and genetic isozyme typing profiles of inbred corn plant 91INH2.

Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette, for example an audio cassette, which is distinguished by an attractive outer appearance, consists of a bottom part and a top part, transparent in each case, and contains inside it two adjacent tape rolls. The bottom part and the top part each have a transparent housing wall having transparent or slightly colored regions and opaque or untransparent regions. The untransparent or opaque regions are produced by printing surface areas of the cassette housing walls including the application of various patterns and/or colors.

Abstract: A square packing container is described, manufactured from a one-piece blank comprising a base and a lid portion and side wall surfaces located thereon, which are connected to one another by means of connecting tabs, and wherein weakened lines are formed on the side wall surfaces. According to the invention, the weakened lines (9, 9', 10, 10', 11) are formed approximately in the plane of symmetry of the side wall surfaces (3, 4), and moreover, two perforated tabs (5, 6) are formed on at least one side wall (3). An adhesive tape (12) encircling the side wall surfaces is stuck on to the projections (5', 6') of the perforated tabs (5, 6), each in the direction of the side edges (7, 8), with the adhesive tape (12) connecting the side tabs (13, 13' and 14, 14') of the base portion (15) and the lid portion (16) with one another.
