Patent number: 12644774Abstract: An ultra-thin film wireless label can include a temperature sensor. The wireless label can be attached to an object, and the wireless label can be used as a temperature monitoring device. The wireless label can have a stacked structure laying the temperature sensor to have efficient thermal contact with the object, while being relatively insulated from the environment via an insulating layer. The temperature sensor can be calibrated, and the calibration parameters can be stored and used to generate accurate temperature readings. The calibrated wireless label can be used in a variety of applications, including performing battery-saving operations, detecting open-box events, and monitoring temperature of items stored in subzero environments. Some embodiments include activating a wireless label, during a printing process.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2024Date of Patent: June 2, 2026Assignee: Reelables, Inc.Inventors: Oliver Peregrine Boswall-Perks, Steven Andrew Swinbank, Brian Grant Krejcarek

Patent number: 12530989Abstract: A wireless communication tape, dispenser of the same and methods of usage of the wireless tape and the dispenser in asset tracking applications are disclosed. The wireless communication tape can be manufactured in an ultrathin form factor by laminating a stack of layers to impart functionality to the wireless communication tape. Methods of use and operation of the wireless communication tape are disclosed to save battery resources of the communication tape. The wireless communication tape may be used to form shipping labels that are thermally printed in a thermal printer and that include a 5G and Bluetooth communication capability to track a location of a package. Examples of 5G wireless protocols include the LPWAN protocols of NB-IoT and LTE-M.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2023Date of Patent: January 20, 2026Assignee: REELABLES, INC.Inventor: Brian Grant Krejcarek

Patent number: 12170548Abstract: Various product serialization systems can be integrated with thin-film wireless label technology. At the time of activating a thin-film wireless label, a wireless transmitter identifier can be associated with an existing serialization code, allowing the thin-film wireless label and the serialization code to be linked in an item tracking system. In some embodiments, a thin-film wireless label can be manufactured with a trace layer below the printable area of the label. The trace layer connected to a microcontroller in the thin-film wireless label can be used to capture an induction signal generated in the trace layer during thermal printing of a serialization code on the thin-film wireless label. The induction signal can be used to construct a representation of the serialization code. The representation can be associated with the thin-film wireless label, stored, and otherwise used in tracking an item to which the thin-film wireless label is attached.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2022Date of Patent: December 17, 2024Assignee: Reelables, Inc.Inventor: Brian Grant Krejcarek
