Patents Assigned to Reforcetech AS
  • Publication number: 20240109811
Abstract: Reinforcement bars for concrete structures, comprising continuous, parallel fibers, made of basalt, carbon, glass fiber, or the like, embedded in a cured matrix, each bar being made of at least one fiber bundle comprising a number of parallel, cylindrical cross section fibers and said bars being provided with a surface shape and/or texture which contributes to good bonding with the concrete. Part of the surface of each bar being deformed prior to or during the curing by: a) strings of an elastic or inelastic, and/or b) at least one deformed section of each reinforcement bar; thereby producing a roughened surface.

  • Patent number: 8806900
Abstract: Several versions of ceramic bushing/s consisting local heating element/s integrated in apparatus for manufacturing mineral/basalt fibers from natural basalt rocks have been designed based on alternatives to Pt/Pt-Rd bushings approach. The ceramic bushing/s having local heating element/s concept promotes minimization or complete replacement of platinum group metals from the process of continuous basalt fiber manufacturing. More specifically, the invention discloses ceramic bushing/s comprising in combination apparatus are designed for manufacturing continuous mineral (basalt) fibers from 7 to 20 micrometers (?m), and also the coarse fibers from 20 ?m to 100 micrometers (?m) in amorphous structural state which exhibit flexible/ductile properties.

  • Patent number: 8769906
Abstract: A reinforcement system for concrete structures, comprising a first set of reinforcement elements configured to be connected to and co-functioning with a second set of reinforcement elements, each of said first and second set of reinforcement elements comprises each a number of more or less uniformly shaped units, intended to be tied together' the first and/or second set of reinforcement elements being made of basalt or carbon fibers, embedded in a suitable matrix. At least the units forming said first set of reinforcement elements are delivered to the construction site in a flat packed, compact state, each unit of said first reinforcement elements being configured to be stretched out into longer lengths when placed in situ and preferably being interconnected to at least several of the other units of said first reinforcement elements by means of at least one flexible or foldable, more or less continuous band.

  • Patent number: 8534015
Abstract: A reinforcement for concrete elements, comprising at least one elongated string formed of a smaller number of single fiber filaments which, when embedded in a matrix, form a fiber string, the exterior surface of which being coated with a particle shaped material, such as for example sand. The reinforcement comprises at least one or more loops, formed by repeatedly winding of said fiber string and that said loop(s) preferably are closed or laid in a continuous wind, the ends of the loops or the wind function as an end anchor for the reinforcement in the concrete element. A reinforcement system based on the reinforcement is also described. In addition, a method for fabricating such reinforcement system and a method for using such reinforcement system is also described.
