Abstract: A method for automatically developing a proposal of advertising segments from a plurality of available advertising segments offered by an owner of a media presentation containing the advertising segments. A plurality of representations of available advertising segments are stored, and actual and/or speculative presentation characteristics are associated to each of the plurality of representations. A proposal is developed comprising a subset of the representations based on media buyer specified variables. The proposal is validated by ensuring that the speculative characteristics are satisfied upon creation of the media presentation containing segments purchased by the media buyer.

Abstract: A projector automation system for controlling one or more controlled systems having functionality that is responsive at least in part to automation control signals. The automation system interacts with a digital projector having a control port and a film projector having a cue sensor that generates cue signals. A film-based cinema automation component receives the cue signals and generate at least some of the automation control signals to the one or more controlled systems. A second cinema automation component has a first interface coupled to the control port of the digital projector and the first cinema automation system. The second cinema automation component includes means for generating at least some of the automation control signals to the one or more controlled systems either autonomously, semi-autonomously, or in response to commands from an external scheduling system.

Abstract: A method for controlling a digital projector by sensing a condition of a switched power outlet and determining and performing at least one programmed response to the sensed condition. Also, a digital projector interface having a switched outlet interface for receiving a signal indicating a condition a switched power outlet and a processor coupled to the switched outlet interface. Processes implemented by the processor are responsive to the switched outlet condition to perform a preselected function involving a digital projector in response to the switched outlet condition.
