Patent number: 5463942Abstract: A motorized tool for slicing food having a motor, a cutting tool, a shaft, and a connector connecting the shaft to the motor. The cutting tool mounted to the shaft. Alternatively, the invention can be converted into a motorized tool for tenderizing meats having a motor, a meat tenderizer, and a connector connecting the meat tenderizer to the motor. A method for cutting food using a motorized tool for slicing food described herein. The method comprising actuating the motor, applying the cutting edge to the food, applying sufficient pressure to begin to cut the food, and moving the cutting edge across the food so that the food is cut. Alternatively, when using the meat tenderizer disclosed herein the method may be simply described as comprising the steps of actuating the motor, applying the tenderizing surface to the meat, and moving the tenderizing surface whereby the meat is tenderized.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1994Date of Patent: November 7, 1995Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventors: Charles J. Patent number: 5023927Abstract: A cast cup provided with a heating element is secured to the bottom plate of a reservoir for a percolator. The cup is inserted into an opening in the bottom plate of the reservoir and has an upper flange and a lower flange. The upper flange is secured to the top surface of the bottom plate by means of swaging. The seal is water-tight. The lower flange has a sealing compound applied to it and is sealed against the underside of the bottom plate when the upper flange is swaged to the top surface of the reservoir's bottom plate.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1989Date of Patent: June 11, 1991Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventor: Kenneth P. Patent number: 4862552Abstract: A knob for the lid of a cooking vessel. The knob being made of heat sensitive material and having a metal cap covering the portion of the knob that is exposed on the underside of the cooking vessel lid.Type: GrantFiled: February 29, 1988Date of Patent: September 5, 1989Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventor: Wayne R. Patent number: 4776296Abstract: A knob for a cooking vessel is a whistle which gives an audible signal that cooking temperature has been reached, and has a valve slide assembly including a separate leaf spring for shutting off the whistle. Inside and outside knob parts incorporate halves of a resonance chamber which makes the knob extremely simple to mold, assemble, clean, and disassemble. The inner knob is comprised of two parts: a top having a whistle orifice and a base which has two arc segments portions which extend through the lid of a cooking vessel and allow the top to be snapped into place abutting the cooking vessel lid. Because the inner knob is comprised of two parts in this fashion, the central opening in the cooking vessel top can be made small enough so that it will be difficult for a user to catch his or her fingers in the opening when the knob is dissasembled for cleaning. The valve slide rests in guides and is overlaid by a knob cover.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 1987Date of Patent: October 11, 1988Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventor: Thomas W. Heermans

Patent number: 4697501Abstract: A coffee maker contains a flexible tube connecting rigid tubes. A coil spring serves to stiffen and support the flexible conduit and to clamp the end of the same conduit to a more rigid tube. There are closely wound clamping turns at the end of the coil spring which perform the clamping function while the rest of the coil spring stiffens and supports the flexible conduit.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1986Date of Patent: October 6, 1987Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventor: Charles J. Patent number: 4667085Abstract: A cooking pan having an inner shell and an outer shell between which is an oil filled cavity containing a heating element the inner shell being secured to the outer shell by a rolled beaded edge formed in such a manner that the free edges of the respective inner shell and outer shell are not in contact with one another because the outer margin of the inner shell has been pre-beaded, the outer margin of the outer shell has been folded, and the relationship between the two is such that the folded portion is spaced slightly from the pre-beaded portion. The oil filling hole is provided with a circumferential seat against which an O-ring is urged by a cup-shaped plug for the hole backed by a spring and spring retainer held in position by a handle bracket provided with a spring retainer backing plate so that the oil filling hole plug functions also as a relief valve which is completely concealed beneath the handle.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1985Date of Patent: May 19, 1987Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventors: Wayne R. Patent number: 4418637Abstract: A knob for a cooking vessel is a whistle which gives an audible signal that cooking temperature has been reached, and has a valve slide assembly including a separate leaf spring for shutting off the whistle. Supporting inside and outside knob parts incorporate halves of a resonance chamber, which makes the knob extremely simple to mold, assemble, clean, and disassemble. The valve slide rests in guides which make it impossible to assemble incorrectly, and is overlaid by a knob cover. The leaf spring biases the valve slide against the top wall of the resonance chamber so that when the slide valve is closed the passage from the resonance chamber to the ambient air is effectively blocked.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1981Date of Patent: December 6, 1983Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventor: Thomas W. Patent number: 4258657Abstract: A striper (10) has a spring-loaded striping head (30) which connects with a reservoir (16) only when the head (10) is depressed by contact with a workpiece, and which does not feed paint or other striping material at any other time. A long, closely fitted tube (31) minimizes leakage and has a side opening (32) to valve stripe material. The parts are readily disassembled but are firmly held when assembled, for ready cleaning and replacement of worn parts. The reservoir (16) is preferably separate for each head (30), and separately fed for any striper head (30) or group of striper heads (30) to produce the desired pattern of stripes. The striper heads 30 may be of interchangeable widths. A stop 13 is the only part retaining all heads.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1979Date of Patent: March 31, 1981Assignee: Regal Ware, Inc.Inventor: DeWayne A. Fritz
