  • Patent number: 6132061
Abstract: A halogen light fixture that houses at least one halogen lamp and is mountable to a support surface. The fixture includes an elongated housing having opposing ends and an interior space in which the halogen light source located. The fixture is mounted to a surface by mounts that secure the fixture to the support surface. The mounts are also opposingly located on the housing and are adapted to releasably engage a plurality of locations on a surface of the housing which causes the housing to tilt is a predetermined manner thereby allowing light to be directionally positioned.

  • Patent number: 6072304
Abstract: An improved trigger circuitry for a high side thyristor application having a thyristor connected to an A/C line, a capacitor connected across the A/C line to A/C neutral through impedance, an electronic switch connected from the thyristor to the junction of the capacitor and associate impedance. During the positive portion of the A/C cycle, the thyristor is triggered in quadrant III via the switch and the capacitor is charged. During the negative portion of the A/C cycle, the discharge of the capacitor triggers quadrant II of the thyristor via the switch.

  • Patent number: 6050710
Abstract: The invention is a portable worklight that includes a housing, bulb, support base and a translucent lens covering a light emitting opening defined by the housing. Use of the translucent lens eliminates glare and shadowing by diffusing or randomly scattering light emitted from the bulb. In addition, the housing and support base may be configured such that the housing is rotatably mounted to the support base and the support base is further configured to allow the housing to be folded within the support base. This reduces the overall size of the light when it is placed in a stored position. The light may further include a male electrical jack that is used to provided power to the device by coupling an electrical cord to the jack.

  • Patent number: 5964524
Abstract: The invention is a worklight and stand having a multi-legged support and a main pole consisting of three segments. The leg support increases the stand's overall resistance to tipping as well as increases the stand's load resistance. The worklight is adjustable, allowing for the aiming of light in multiple directions. The ability to break the main pole into three segments allows for the storage or packaging of the stand within a container of smaller dimension than necessary for a stand of only two segments.
