Abstract: Supporting device (10) for a lighting appliance comprising a frame (11) in turn comprising a tubular portion (12) which can be at least partially inserted in a housing or opening (17) of a false ceiling or wall (18). According to the invention, the device (10) comprises supporting means (20) comprising at least two levers (30) associated with the frame (11) and capable of passing, by rotation, by means of two corresponding unidirectional couplings (34, 52) from a disengagement operating position, in which they do not protrude from said tubular portion (12), to an engagement operating position in which they protrude from said frame (11) becoming coupled with said wall (18) to support the device (10).

Abstract: Modular lighting elements (10) are designed to be embedded in a surface so that a square front face (13) thereof appears on the surface, which front face is provided with a frame (14) at the outside of the surface itself. The elements (10) are such shaped that they are laterally coupled with each other to form strips of elements. Each element (10) comprises a pair of spring thrust elements (15) exerting pressure against the inside of the surface to keep the element in place in the housing. The two thrust elements of each pair laterally project from the corresponding lighting element close to opposite corners of said square front face. The elements (10) can have a finishing frame on some sides and fitting means on other sides to enable juxtaposition and mutual fitting of the elements, while preserving continuity and thickness of the finishing frames.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus comprises a light source (12) and light reflecting surfaces from the source to the surrounding environment. One light reflecting surface (10) distributes light at least partly over a second light reflecting surface (11). The first surface (10) reflects the light rays striking thereon substantially towards regions of the second surface (11) receiving the rays directly from the source with an angle of incidence not greater than 20.degree., preferentially not greater than 12.degree. and most preferentially of 10.degree.. Advantageously, the second surface (11) is of generally semicircular plan with a substantially diametrical edge and exhibits a radial cavity (29) in the form of a triangular pyramid the base of which is directed towards the light source.

Abstract: A fastening device (10) for securing a recessed casing in a cavity in a surface, comprises a guide (11) along which runs a slider (12) with a front engaging end (29). The slider (12) has unidirectional coupling means (19, 20) which engage with the guide (11). The slider (12) is also provided, towards the front end (29), with a cam surface (28) acting on the guide (11) in slots (21, 22) to increase the distance of the front end (29) of the slider (12) from the guide (11) when it is made to slide along the guide by manual shifting means (15). In this way, the front end (29) is brought into contact with the surface of the cavity and the slider (12) engages with the guide (11) by means of the unidirectional coupling means (19, 20).
