  • Publication number: 20060086710
Abstract: A heating element for an inside surface of a front-end module/bumper for a motor vehicle. The heating element is operatively connected to a radar transmitting/receiving unit. The heating element comprises a heating film formed of a polymer, an array of conductor strips integrated into the heating film, and an electronic control element that controls the conductor strips. The array of conductor strips is divided into an inner region through which a radar beam from the radar transmitting/receiving unit is transmitted, and an outer region through which the radar beam is not transmitted. The conductor strips in the inner region are inclined by angles of about 45° to about 90° relative to a polarization plane of the radar beam. The conductor strips in the outer region are arranged in a meandering pattern.

  • Patent number: 7017629
Abstract: The invention relates to a windshield wiper fluid reservoir (1) comprising a closure device (4) and a filling tube (2) for use in a windshield wiper system for motor vehicles. The aim of the invention is to improve the design of a prior art windshield wiper fluid reservoir (1) comprising a closure device (4) and a filling tube (2) whereby improving the ability to fill the reservoir, in particular, enabling a pressure filling involving the use of a pump nozzle. This is achieved by provision of a filling tube (2), which comprises an integrated ventilation channel (3) in a one-piece design and is situated on the windshield wiper fluid reservoir (1). ventilation channel (3) is shaped by reshaping the upper area of the filling tube. This ensues by pressing in the lateral surfaces (6) in the upper third of the filling tube (2) in a longitudinal direction.

  • Publication number: 20050277910
Abstract: The invention relates to a catheter tube for local anaesthetic with improved characteristics in terms of resistance to kinking, a higher degree of rigidity during application and reduced rigidity after application. According to the invention, said characteristics are achieved by designing the catheter tube as a layered composite tube, whereby the interior that faces the lumen consists of a polyamide layer and the exterior consists of a polyurethane layer. The layer thickness distribution of the polyamide inner layer to the polyurethane outer layer is preferably between 50:50 and 70:30. The inner and outer layers of the inventive catheter tube can be provided with one or more radiopaque strips.

  • Patent number: 6468454
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for shaping the surface of extruded profiles made of thermoplastic materials with a device which is profiled to the shaping surface such that it is complimentary to the demanded shaping dimensions and presses into the continuous profile. The invention provides a method and device with whose simple, economic and high uniformity permit a material-saving production of profiles while completely adhering to the required stability at the same time. To this end, the shaping device presses the desired shaping dimensions into the continuous profile such that the wall strength of the surrounding edges of the impressions is reduced and work-hardened. The profiles are cooled and shaped into a dimensionally stable state in such a way that the height of the impressions at least correspond to the halved wall strengths of the continuous profile.
