    Abstract: A horse training aid comprises a stem running from the girth to a location under the head. A coupling rope is trained through a lateral coupler wheel at the outer end of the stem. The overall length of the aid from the girth to the mouth bits or bridle prevents excessive lifting of the horses head, but offers insignificant resistance to turning of the head as the coupling rope slides on the wheel. With the training aid the horse is encouraged to maintain the correct head position, and this allows optimum muscle development.
