Abstract: A leaf spring, in particular for automotive suspensions, wherein a central core, e.g. of varying thickness, made of a polymer material having predetermined mechanical characteristics and no reinforcing fibers, is covered on two opposite work surfaces with respective laminates, e.g. of constant thickness, made of composite material. The central core has a longitudinal axis substantially coincident with a neutral axis of the leaf spring; and a predetermined number of transverse holes, by which to fasten the leaf spring to respective mechanical members, are formed through the central core, at the longitudinal axis, without affecting the laminates of composite material.
Abstract: A straight portion of a vehicle stabilizing bar is fitted with a supporting device including an antifriction sleeve made of low-friction polymeric material and angularly integral with the straight portion of the bar; an annular pad made of elastomeric material and surrounding the antifriction sleeve; and a connecting member for connecting the bar to a vehicle supporting structure, and which is made in one piece from substantially rigid polymeric material, and has a substantially cylindrical through cavity for housing the annular pad; the annular pad clicks axially onto the connecting member and the antifriction sleeve, and is made angularly integral with the connecting member by means of respective longitudinal projections which engage corresponding grooves formed on an inner lateral surface of the cavity of the connecting member, whereas the antifriction sleeve and the annular pad are connected to each other in frictionally rotating manner.
Abstract: Leaf spring, in particular for a suspension of a vehicle, of the multiple-leaf type, and preferably of the double-leaf type: a first, upper leaf is provided at respective ends with corresponding eyelets for attachment to a vehicle, and is made of metal material, for example of steel, whereas a second leaf which is connected to a lower surface of the first leaf, is made of composite material, for example of plastic reinforced with fiber glass. The attachment eyelets, which are produced by plastic deformation of the ends of the first leaf, are disposed entirely on one side of a longitudinal axis of symmetry of the first leaf, on the side opposite the second leaf; the second leaf extends longitudinally with its own respective end edges at least as far as the geometric centers of the eyelets. Between the leaves, in the vicinity of the eyelets and partially below the latter, there are interposed two friction buffers with a predetermined thickness, which are coupled to the lower leaf by means of a coupling tooth.
Abstract: A stabilizing or anti-roll bar for vehicles, of any shape, is provided with a positioning device including: a radial annular groove, continuous or discontinuous, of spherical profile, which is hot-machined, in pre-determined axial position on the external surface of a rectilinear part of the bar in the vicinities of supports of connection to the body of a vehicle; an annular plug made of a relatively hard and rigid elastomer material, provided with a radial through cut made along an entire generator of the plug, so that the plug can be opened in the circumferential direction so as to be fitted on the rectilinear part of the bar, the annular plug being internally provided with an annular projection which can be coupled into the said groove of the bar; and surrounding means suitable for being mounted externally on the plug to prevent the opening thereof and close a lateral internal surface thereof, with pre-determined force, against the external surface of the bar, to lock the plug axially with respect to the b
