Publication number: 20140102847Abstract: An adjuster is disclosed, to be placed “in-line” to a clutch disengagement system. The adjuster provides a means for lifting the pressure plate above the clutch pack without significantly affecting the operation or feel of the clutch disengagement system to the operator. Such an adjuster is particularly well suited for use with an automatic centrifugal clutch incorporating a friction disk that expands when rotated above a threshold speed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2013Publication date: April 17, 2014Applicant: REKLUSE MOTOR SPORTSInventor: REKLUSE MOTOR SPORTS

Publication number: 20130334003Abstract: A novel adjustable slave cylinder is disclosed. The improved slave cylinder is particularly well suited for use with a clutch incorporating an expanding friction disk. The adjustable slave cylinder provides a means for adjusting a clutch pressure plate's position via an adjustment mechanism external to the inside of an engine.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2012Publication date: December 19, 2013Applicant: REKLUSE MOTOR SPORTSInventors: Albert J. Youngwerth, Sean G. Brown, Karl E. Jensen, Logan P. Krueger

Publication number: 20130168198Abstract: An improved liner and friction disk for a clutch basket is disclosed. The improved liner is easily retrofitted into a typical clutch basket and is held in place without fasteners or adhesives or special changes to the clutch basket. The improved liner is held in place without consideration to the outer diameter of the basket allowing the liner to work with a wider range of clutch basket designs and sizes. The liner provides an improved wear surface for the clutch basket's engagement surface with the driving friction surface. A friction disk with tabs adapted to fit inside the narrowed space provided by the improved liner is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2011Publication date: July 4, 2013Applicant: REKLUSE MOTOR SPORTSInventors: Albert J. Youngwerth, Sean G. Brown, Danny S. Youngwerth

Publication number: 20100307886Abstract: A clutch apparatus is disclosed having concentrically spaced inner and outer clutches. The inner and outer clutches are coupled for rotation via a coupling ring. The present invention is well suited to a configuration wherein one of the clutches is dynamically actuated and one of the clutches is manually disengageable by the operator using a clutch lever. In this configuration, the operation of the clutch lever by the operator is unaffected by the dynamically actuated clutch. The concentric configuration of the clutches is beneficial in allowing the improved clutch to occupy a similar space compared to a traditional clutch mechanism.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2010Publication date: December 9, 2010Applicant: Rekluse Motor Sports, Inc.Inventors: Albert James Youngwerth, JR., Daniel Scott Youngwerth, Sean Gabriel Brown

Patent number: 7669870Abstract: An adjustable axle assembly for the front fork of a motorcycle. In the preferred embodiment, the axle is received within an eccentric axle carrier which in turn is received within mounting holes in the front fork. The mounting holes utilize a pinch bolts as a clamping method to secure the eccentric axle carrier within the fork. In the preferred embodiment, loosening the pinch bolts allows the eccentric axle carrier to be rotated effectively moving the position of the wheel relative to the fork. Moving the wheel forward and backwards changes the trail characteristic of the motorcycle's geometry.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2005Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Assignee: Rekluse Motor Sports, IncInventor: Alden R. Eaton

Publication number: 20090242351Abstract: An apparatus and system are disclosed for automatic centrifugal engagement of a clutch incorporating a friction disk that expands when rotated above a threshold speed. The apparatus may include a clutch basket, a clutch pack capable of coupling the clutch basket with a center clutch, a pressure plate that may be easily adjusted to create a gap between the pressure plate and the clutch pack and an expanding friction disk assembly that may take the place of one or more friction disks. The assembly expands under centrifugal force to provide automatic engagement of the clutch. A mechanism is provided to manually override the automatic engagement of the clutch with a clutch lever and with improved operational performance of the clutch lever versus previous automatic clutch systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2009Publication date: October 1, 2009Applicant: Rekluse Motor Sports, Inc.Inventors: Albert James Youngwerth, JR., Daniel Scott Youngwerth, Sean Gabriel Brown

Publication number: 20070200425Abstract: An alternative cap for an integrated reservoir brake master cylinder. The improved cap provides an input for a second brake master cylinder and a novel sealing means. The sealing means bypasses the integrated brake reservoir's sight window and cap allowing hydraulic pressure from a second master cylinder to actuate the rear brake while preventing the integrated brake reservoirs sight window or cap from leaking oil under hydraulic pressure.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2006Publication date: August 30, 2007Applicant: Rekluse Motor Sports, Inc.Inventor: Daniel Youngwerth
