Abstract: A combine harvester includes a straw chopper having an inlet for unchopped straw, an outlet for chopped straw in an essentially horizontal direction, and a spreader fan, connected downstream of the outlet of the straw chopper and having an essentially horizontal plane of rotation, for spreading the chopped straw over a ground surface. The combine harvester further includes a guide member, which is arranged to deflect at least a part of the stream of chopped straw material to an axial intake of the spreader fan such that a part of chopped straw material meets the blades of the spreader fan in the direction of transport of the chopped straw material through the spreader fan at an acute angle (?) relative to the plane of rotation of the spreader fan.

The housing includes an end wall turned away from a sieving unit and a peripheral wall formed with at least one chaff discharge opening. A direction of rotation of the radial fan wheel is reversible so as to permit discharge of the chaff in different directions via the associated chaff discharge opening, depending on the fan wheel direction of rotation.

Abstract: A combine harvester has a husk discharge device mounted downstream from a sieving unit, and a blower mounted in a housing having at least one husk discharge opening, and a straw chopping device, which is located downstream from a straw shaking device and the husk discharge device and which has a rotary cutter mounted in a housing to chop the straw, the housing having an inlet for the unchopped straw and an outlet for the chopped straw. A guide means is located upstream of the straw chopping device, the guide means being displaceable between a first position for closing the inlet so as to effect bypassing of the straw chopping device and allowing deposition of the unchopped straw in the form of strings, and a second position in which is exposed the inlet to allow chopping of straw. A spreading device for spreading of the chopped straw received from the straw chopping device is connected to the outlet thereof and is formed with spreader wings.

Abstract: A combine harvester includes a device for discharging husks, the husk discharging device having at least one fan rotatably mounted in a fan casing, the fan casing having at least one husk discharge opening, a device for chopping straw arranged downstream of the husk discharging device, the straw chopping device having a rotating cutting rotor in a rotor casing for chopping straw, the rotor casing having an inlet for unchopped straw and an outlet for chopped straw, and a control device arranged between the husk discharging device and the straw chopping device, the control device being movable between a first position in which the control device closes the inlet of the rotor to bypass the straw chopping device and a second position in which the inlet of the rotor is open to allow chopping of the straw.

Abstract: A device (1) to turn an object (2), said device comprising an object-supporting bight (4), a continuous belt, line, chain or the like. After the bight (3) the two parts of the belt (4) extend into parts (5, 6) each one of which travels past a deflection means (8, 9), such as a roller. On the lower side of said parts they are united by means of a lower belt part (7). The belt (4) is provided with support members (10-25) support the object, and the length of the belt is sufficient to fully encircle the object (2), or at least partly encircle a symmetrical portion of it, in the intended direction of rotation. In a hypothetical encircling position of the belt, the support members (10-25) extend radially outwards, and these members are configured to essentially fill up the space between the belt itself and the object, and each support member abuts against the object (2) at least at one point.
