Abstract: A portable device and method for transmitting electromagnetic waves. In one aspect, when arranged at a surface, the device is capable of transmitting waves having a power flux density of at least 0.5 milliwatts per square centimeter of surface area and a frequency value of between 3 and 120 gigahertz. The device is further capable of simultaneously exposing at least 2.5 square centimeters of the surface to the waves.
