Abstract: A communication cable includes a first plurality of twisted pairs of electrical conductors, wherein each electrical conductor is surrounded by a layer of plenum rated insulation. The cable also includes a second plurality of twisted pairs of electrical conductors, wherein one conductor of each pair is surrounded by a layer of plenum rated insulation and the other electrical conductor is surrounded by a layer of non-plenum rated insulation. In an alternate embodiment, a communication cable includes a plurality of twisted pairs of electrical conductors, each pair having a first insulating material about one of the electrical conductors and a second insulating material about the second electrical conductor.
