Abstract: A water washed air scrubber in which the contaminated air is first directed toward the surface of a bath of water and cleaning agent at relatively high velocity to create adequate turbulence to achieve a scrubbing action to remove a majority of the contaminate, and thereafter passed through a filter to remove any remaining liquid and/or contaminate.

Abstract: A roof mountable kitchen grease exhaust blower is constructed with hinged housing elements which can be raised for easy service access to all parts of the unit. A container collects grease draining from a discharge scoop and has a flotation separator for harmlessly eliminating water while retaining grease. Grease containment edges on the discharge scoop contain and collect grease being carried by the exhaust air stream along inner scoop surfaces. The discharge scoop has a curved bottom wall to encourage gravity flow of grease collecting on the scoop surfaces towards a drain opening.

Abstract: A roof mountable kitchen grease exhaust blower is constructed with hinged housing elements which can be raised for easy service access to all parts of the unit. Redundant blower drive motors are provided either of which can be easily engaged to the blower wheel in the event of failure of the other. A blower wheel drive belt is equally engageable to either drive motor and changeover from one to the other is easily and quickly made by minimally skilled personnel. The newly engaged drive motor is enabled by a power select switch at the blower control panel.
