Abstract: The invention relates to an injection unit (1) for an espresso coffee machine including a stationary mechanical upper block (2) having a central projection (4) which forms a hot-water dispenser (7) and to which a removable portion, referred to as the group head (8), is attached, the inner surface of the group head having a cavity (22) in which the portafilter (9) is mounted, said portafilter comprising an operating handle (10) and a recess for holding a basket (11) containing the coffee grounds for preparing espresso coffee, characterized in that the group head (8) is attached to the mechanical block (2) of the injection unit (1) via a linking device having a resilient effect, and in that the seal (23) surrounding the dispenser (7) engages with the inner periphery of the basket (11). The invention is useful for manufacturers of espresso coffee machines.

It comprises a drawer (5) movable between a position for extracting, a position for loading and a position for discharging pods and an injection unit (6) closing the support of the preparation unit (1) in its front part above the drawer (5) in its extracting position and entirely mobile to be brought closer to the drawer through the cams (29) of the camshaft (7) driven by a single motor (8), being automatically returned away from the injection unit (6) through a return force. The invention is of interest to professional coffee machine manufacturers.

Abstract: The coffee preparation unit comprises a simplified injection group consisting of an assemblage of plastic elements attached to the lower plate (12) of its front portion (11). This group consists of a crosspiece (70) covered by an injection element (60) on an upper distribution chamber (63), which is traversed by a plurality of longitudinal channels communicating with a spray (51) which is attached to the front portion of the injection piece (60). The container holder (55) is attached directly to the lower plate (12) of the front portion (11). The coffee preparation unit also comprises an individual heater (46) for each coffee preparation post, with a flexible tube serving as a hydraulic inlet (47). The invention is of interest to manufacturers of professional "espresso" coffee machines.
