    Abstract: The present invention generally relates to imitation marble objects. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for producing imitation marble fixtures such as tubs, walls, vanities, etc. A method for producing imitation marble fixtures, comprising the steps of applying a first layer over a prepared mold which outlines the features of the desired product, wherein the first layer comprises a clear polyester gel coat. Then applying a second layer over the first layer, the second layer comprises a pattern of swirls and veins permeated throughout a matching polyester gel coat. Thereafter, applying a third layer over the second layer, the third layer comprises calcium carbonate with polyester resin for the purpose of providing the base color of the imitation marble fixture. Finally, applying a layer of polyurethane foam, wherein the polyurethane foam consists of equal parts of Polymeric Diphenylethane Diisocyanate and Polyol Tertiaryamine.
