Abstract: A mobile communications device may include a near field communications (NFC) device, an input device configured to generate a memory wipe command, a memory, and a memory controller coupled with the NFC device, the input device, and the memory. The memory controller may be configured to receive secure data from a provisioning server and store the secure data into the memory, receive wiping instruction data from the provisioning server and store the wiping instruction data into the memory for wiping the secure data from the memory, and wipe the secure data from the memory without an over-the-air (OTA) connection to the provisioning server based upon the memory wipe command and the wiping instruction data stored in the memory.

Abstract: An apparatus, and an associated method, facilitates implementation of a parental control feature at a mobile station. A parental authority selects a parental control feature to be implemented at the mobile station and by way of a user interface at a computer workstation or a master mobile station. Detection is made of the selection, and a control signal is generated that includes identification of the selection. The control signal is sent to the affected mobile station. Once received at the mobile station, the control signal is detected, its contents ascertained, and the parental control feature is implemented at the mobile station.

Abstract: A mobile device, method, and machine instructions for mobile device communication are provided. The mobile device includes a voice call continuity status checker to determine a voice call continuity status and use the voice call continuity status to determine whether to initiate voice call continuity related activities. The method includes determining a voice call continuity status and using the voice call continuity status to determine whether to initiate voice call continuity related activities. When executed, the machine instructions perform a method that includes determining a voice call continuity status and using the voice call continuity status for voice call continuity related activities.

Abstract: System and method for data simplification in wireless communications are enabled by an application developer toolkit used to convert complex service messages to a simplified data structure for storing information associated with a remote service that utilizes complex data structures for conveying the information to devices that access the remote service. The application developer toolkit also outputs maps for converting the complex service messages to simplified wireless messages in a format of the simplified data structure, and maps simplified wireless messages to complex service messages. A proxy located in a communications path between the wireless device and the remote service uses the maps to convert complex service messages to simplified service messages, and vice versa.
