Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting the trajectory of an object are disclosed herein. One embodiment receives sensor data that includes a location of the object in an environment of the object; accesses a location-specific latent map, the location-specific latent map having been learned together with a neural-network-based trajectory predictor during a training phase, wherein the neural-network-based trajectory predictor is deployed in a robot; inputs, to the neural-network-based trajectory predictor, the location of the object and the location-specific latent map, the location-specific latent map providing, to the neural-network-based trajectory predictor, a set of location-specific biases regarding the environment of the object; and outputs, from the neural-network-based trajectory predictor, a predicted trajectory of the object.

Abstract: Systems and device configurations are provided for reducing misstep, such as miscommunication between a vehicle and a driver that results in applying the incorrect pedal. Vehicle pedal configurations having a positioning element are described. Embodiments include pedal configurations having a pedal pad and at least one positioning element to adjust the pedal pad in response to pedal misstep. Pedal adjustment can include rotation of a pedal pad, rotation of portions of a pedal pad, and multibody pedal pad configurations. According to embodiment, a pedal pad includes vibrational elements to control vibration of the pedal. Embodiments are also directed to a pedal configuration including a flip plate. Systems are provided including a controller to control a pedal configuration and positioning elements. The controller may control the pedal based on a driving mode, such as an assistive driving state wherein operator is instructed to apply a pedal.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compounds, their pharmaceutical salts, and pharmaceutical compositions that selectively activate the inositol-requiring enzyme 1 (IRE1)/X-box binding protein 1 (XBP1s) signaling pathway of the unfolded protein response (UPR), but that do not target the IRE1 kinase domain. The compounds are useful in treating diseases or conditions characterized by imbalances in proteostasis within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) or secretory pathway, including those not associated with ER stress or activation of UPR.

Abstract: A used battery is discharged for a short time from a first Open Circuit Voltage (OCV1) to a second OCV2 and the discharge current ?Q measured. OCV1 is input to a calibration curve model to obtain a first modeled State of Charge (SOC1) value, and OCV2 is input to the calibration curve model to obtain a second modeled SOC2 value. The State of Health (SOH) is calculated as ?Q/[Qnew×(SOC1?SOC2)], where Qnew is the battery capacity when new. The used battery is sorted for reuse or disposal based on the SOH value. The calibration curve model is obtained by Artificial Intelligence (AI) modeling of OCV, SOC datapoints from fully charging and discharging used batteries. Only OCV values within a target region having a low first derivative of SOC as a function of OCV are modeled, and OCV1 and OCV2 are within this target region.
