  • Publication number: 20250026318
Abstract: An electric vehicle (EV) battery pack replacement system includes a replacement pack ramp structure having a replacement pack ramp, a vehicle-mountable battery pack receptacle, and a vehicle-mountable replacement pack coupling system structured to be operable to connect a vehicle to a replacement pack positioned on the ramp during movement of the vehicle over the ramp. Further movement of the vehicle over the ramp after connection to the replacement pack to the vehicle moves the replacement pack up the ramp. The ramp is structured so that movement of the replacement pack up the ramp causes the replacement pack to be positioned in in the receptacle. The system uses continuous motion of the vehicle and the replacement pack coupling system for loading a new battery, obviating the need for robotics or other active or powered infrastructure external to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250025548
Abstract: Sarbecoviruses (lineage B of genus Betacoronavirus) have caused two major outbreaks during the past two decades: SARS-CoV in 2003, and SARS-CoV-2 from 2019. SARS-CoV-2 vaccines will be essential to reduce morbidity and mortality. Therefore, universal vaccines against this class of viruses are key to ending the current pandemic, but also for preventing additional emergent variations and future outbreaks of SARS-like viruses that are continuously found from nature reservoirs. Now, the inventors produced an antibody that is directed against a surface antigen (i.e., CD40) of an antigen presenting cell (i.e., dendritic cell) wherein the heavy chain is conjugated or fused to a protein N polypeptide of SAR-CoV-2 and the light chain is fused to a RBD polypeptide. In particular, the inventors show that said antibody could elicit immune responses against Sarbecoviruses.

  • Patent number: 12202876
Abstract: The present invention relates to a transmembrane domain derived from human LRRC24 protein. More specifically, the present invention relates to a transmembrane domain derived from the human LRRC24 protein (LRRC24P transmembrane domain) or a cell-penetrating peptide, and an intracellular delivery system comprising same. The transmembrane domain derived from the human LRRC24 protein of the present invention can be used to deliver cargo materials such as compounds, biomolecules, and various polymer materials into cells. Since the LRRC24P transmembrane domain of the present invention exhibits higher cell penetration efficiency compared to conventional cell-penetrating peptides and is derived from human proteins, thus avoiding side effects and immune responses caused by peptides derived from foreign proteins, it can be usefully used as an effective intracellular delivery method for compounds, biomolecules, and various polymer materials applied to the human body.
