Abstract: A system that has a plurality of monitors, a control unit, a first object and a second object is provided. The second object has one or more sensors operable to generate data and is remote from the first object. The control unit is configured to determine whether a first user is positioned on a first or on a second location of the first object and display a simulation of a second user onto the plurality of monitors based on the generated data. The second user is located remote from the first user and is displayed as being positioned in a different location on the first object than the first user on the first object. The control unit is further configured to activate the one or more heat generating devices to simulate a presence of the second user being positioned in the different location on the first object.

Abstract: A system and methods for heating and cooling are provided. The system may include an energy collector and an adaptive panel connected to the energy collector. The adaptive panel may a radiative cooling layer configured to dissipate heat from the energy collector. The radiative cooling layer may further include a thermo-responsive polymer configured to adjust transparency depending on temperature. The system may include a solar heating layer configured to absorb solar irradiation that passes through the radiative cooling layer and transfer heat to the energy collector.
Abstract: Embodiments provide a system and method for modeling a shared resource in a multi-layer reasoning graph based on configuration security. During operation, the system can obtain a multi-layer graph for a system with a plurality of components that can include a set of subgroups of components. The system can generate, based on the multi-layer graph, an abstract component to represent a shared resource model for a respective subgroup of components. The shared resource model can be associated with a set of resource constraints. The system can generate a set of values for resource configuration parameters that satisfy the resource constraints. The system can map the shared resource model to a respective component and can then determine, based on the mapping and the set of values for the resource configuration parameters, a set of values for the component configuration parameters thereby facilitating optimization of a security objective function.
Abstract: A production line scheduling method, adapted to a plurality of jobs passing a bottleneck station having at least one manufacturing machine, the jobs respectively correspond to a plurality of job conditions, and the method comprises: performing a plurality of times of a schedule simulation algorithm on the jobs to sequentially establish a plurality of schedule simulation trees, and obtaining a job schedule and a simulated finishing period of each job based on the schedule simulation trees, wherein each schedule simulation tree comprises at least one scheduling route, and each scheduling route is generated from one schedule simulation algorithm; and calculating a plurality of expected feeding times of each job at a plurality of stations comprising the bottleneck station, wherein the schedule simulation algorithm comprises: performing a node expansion step based on at least one node expansion condition and the job conditions to obtain the scheduling route.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method, an apparatus, and a storage medium for image encoding/decoding using partitioning. Various prediction methods and prediction modes may be used for prediction of a block. When a block is partitioned, information related to partitioning, such as information indicating whether partitioning is to be performed and information specifying the type of partitioning, is signaled. Also, when partitioning is applied to the block, an available prediction method and an available prediction method in prediction for the block may be restricted in prediction for the block. For optimization of signaling, multiple pieces of information related to prediction may be signaled, wherein the pieces of information may have dependency relationships, and in some cases, additional information may be derived as specific values depending on the value of one piece of information, and signaling of the additional information may be skipped.

Abstract: The present application provides a process for preparing a composite anode for a lithium ion cell comprising the steps of: (i) forming an anode slurry in a planetary mixing machine by mixing active materials, a binder and a solvent; (ii) coating the slurry over a copper foil substrate in a coating machine at a speed of 0.3-1.0 m/min; and (iii) calendering of the anode in a calendering machine at a temperature of 50-150° C. The lithium ion cell with the anode disclosed in this invention and a cathode exhibited a capacity retention of >80% at 100% depth-of-discharge at C/2-1C charge-discharge rate when tested for 2000 cycles.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an intermediate blank connection system for hot-rolled strip headless rolling and a connection method, and belongs to the technical field of intermediate blank connection for strip steel headless rolling. The connection system and the connection method realize matching of an intermediate blank connection device and speed of a unit through a translation drive system. A mounting frame is used to provide support for cutting devices, and the cutting devices are divided into two groups arranged in the mounting frame to achieve clamping of a front slab and a rear slab respectively. Interlaced dovetail cutting edge structures are used to achieve cutting and ensure a good longitudinal stress state. Finally, a certain difference is set in sizes of width directions between cutting edges, to ensure that there is certain extrusion deformation in a process of forming dovetail cutting groove connection, and enhance a connection effect.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of training an autoencoder to recover missing data is provided. The autoencoder includes an encoder for encoding its inputs into a latent space and a decoder for decoding the encodings from the latent space. The method comprises creating a first training set including a valid data set of multiple dimensions, and training the encoder and the decoder in a first training stage using the first training set to reduce a difference between the valid data set provided to the encoder and a data set decoded by the decoder. The method further comprises creating a second training set comprising an invalid data set, and training the encoder in a second training stage using the second training set to reduce a difference between encodings of valid data instances and encodings of their corresponding invalid data instances.
