Publication number: 20240009314Abstract: The present invention relates to compounds that target monocytes, macrophages and other cells (such as dendritic cells) that express CD-206, particularly those cells at are assembled at a site of disease, using a target moiety coupled to a glucan backbone. The compounds disclosed here preferably comprise a glucan backbone, a targeting moiety, a targeting moiety linker, a payload and optionally a payload linker. The present invention also provides methods of making such compounds and compositions. The present invention also provides diagnostic methods and methods of treatment using compounds comprising a target moiety coupled to a glucan backbone.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2021Publication date: January 11, 2024Applicant: Resolute ScienceInventor: Faith Hemenway BARNETT

Patent number: 6409774Abstract: A method for en bloc staining a biological sample by (a) immersing the sample in a staining solution including an ionically conductive solution and a charged stain molecule or stain precursor that associates with a component of the sample; and (b) applying an electric field across the staining solution, whereby the stain molecule penetrates into the sample. Staining times are reduced.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 1999Date of Patent: June 25, 2002Assignee: Resolution Sciences CorporationInventors: Russell L. Kerschmann, Ronald Odom, Thomas Kuwahara, Mark Reddington

Patent number: 6372512Abstract: A method for preparing an organic sample for cutting and subsequent examination, involving immersing the sample in a composition containing: an infiltrating substance; an embedding substance, which can be the same or different from the infiltrating substance; and a stain that chemically associates with the organic sample, wherein the stain exhibits different detectable properties when associated and not associated with the sample.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1998Date of Patent: April 16, 2002Assignee: Resolution Sciences CorporationInventor: Russell L. Kerschmann

Patent number: 6330348Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring and evaluating the performance and condition of histology laboratory microtomes and microtome accessories including knives, motor drives, and illumination devices. Irregularities in an image of the surface of a block mounted on the microtome are detected and characterized, the block having been subjected to mechanical sectioning by the microtome to produce a cut block face. The image of light reflected from the surface of the block, either specular or non-specular, is recorded and subjected to graphical analysis to extract, quantify, and interpret patterned features, including those indicating anomalies in the function of the microtome, its accessories, or the tissue block itself.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1999Date of Patent: December 11, 2001Assignee: Resolution Sciences CorporationInventors: Russell L. Kerschmann, Michael E. Bolles, Andrew D. Hendrickson

Patent number: 4914426Abstract: Display of alphanumeric characters symbols, graphs and other information in a dot-matrix form on a CRT is enhanced by modulating the CRT beam sinusoidally at twice the dot matrix clock rate to produce two full cycles of sinusoidal modulation for each dot space. The amplitude of the modulation is selected to be one-fourth the raster scan spacing of the CRT, whereby two sinusoidal cycles of modulation in each dot space more fully fills the space allocated to a dot display in the vertical direction as the electrons beam scans the dot space in the horizontal direction.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1987Date of Patent: April 3, 1990Assignee: High Resolution Sciences, Inc.Inventor: Jonathan M. Patent number: 4833523Abstract: Chroma crawl, and a 15 Hz component introduced by the NTSC subcarrier pattern repeated every four fields, is obviated by adding to and substracting from the horizontal and vertical sync timing of alternate frames the period of one half cycle of the color subcarrier. Upon encoding television color signals with the color subcarrier for transmission in a compact video signal with the horizontal and vertical signals generated by this method, a chroma crawl free composite video signal results without producing any cumulative timing difference.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1988Date of Patent: May 23, 1989Assignee: High Resolution Sciences, IncInventor: John T. Patent number: 4737693Abstract: An LC tank circuit in the collector of a power transistor controls the vertical modulation of the horizontal deflection of a CRT through additional deflection coils properly oriented. The tank circuit is tuned at a frequency nf for the desired modulation, where n is the number of cycles of oscillation of the tank for each drive pulse at a frequency (pulses per second) f, and each drive pulse is adjusted in width to one fourth or less of a cycle of the modulation frequency nf using an adjustable RC differentiating circuit and a threshold device to couple a squarewave signal at frequency f to the base of the power transistor.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 1985Date of Patent: April 12, 1988Assignee: High Resolution Sciences, Inc.Inventor: Jonathan M. Patent number: 4703319Abstract: A three-pole double-throw switch is provided to selectively interrupt the video signal from an input connector to an output connector for display of white characters generated by a microprocessor on a dark screen of a CRT monitor, or vice versa, and route the video signal through an inverter for display of dark characters on white screen. One pole of the switch is used to provide the vertical sync signal to the power input terminal of the inverter, thus powering the select switch box solely from the transmitted vertical sync signal. A capacitor filters the power supply thus provided. The select switch box requires no external power and is virtually free of RF energy radiation while providing noise free data display with equal bandwidth response in both modes.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 1985Date of Patent: October 27, 1987Assignee: High Resolution Sciences, IncInventor: Jonathan M.
