Patent number: 6655660Abstract: A valve assembly includes a slider controlling the water flow through the valve assembly and having a variably sized outer dimension. The slider has opposite ends, one of which receives a removable stop, whereas the other end is enlarged to form a flange arresting displacement of the slider in a predetermine position.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2001Date of Patent: December 2, 2003Assignee: Resources Conservation, Inc.Inventor: Michael Wales

Patent number: 6502796Abstract: An adjustable mount for removable attaching a showerhead to a water supply pipe includes a mounting bracket made of resilient material and having a mounting flange which is sized and shaped to clamp the water supply pipe upon applying an external force. The adjustable mount further includes a holder for the showerhead and an attaching assembly for releasably attaching the holder to the mounting bracket. The attaching assembly has a knob formed on either the holder or the mounting bracket frictionally engaging a recess formed on the other element. Upon inserting the knob in the recess, the bracket and the holder are displaceable relative to one another between a release position, wherein they are freely detachable, and a series of locking positions, wherein their displacement is arrested upon ceasing an external torque.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2000Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: Resources Conservation, Inc.Inventor: Michael Wales

Patent number: 6381774Abstract: A retractable sprayer hose installation kit for use with a faucet assembly has a connector attachable to a discharge opening of the faucet assembly and traversed by a flexible hose, a free end of which is inserted into a spout, an a proximal end traverses a bushing which provides connection between the hose and a hand-held spray head. The connector receives a fitting which is recessed to form a seat for a stopper attachable to the proximal end of the flexible hose and engaging the seat in a retracted position of the spray head. The kit further has a bushing releasably engaging the spray head and dimensioned to provide the spray head and the hose with simultaneous displacement between the retracted and extended positions of the spray head.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2000Date of Patent: May 7, 2002Assignee: Resources Conservation, Inc.Inventor: Michael Wales

Patent number: 6178981Abstract: A universal-fit replacement flange and handle set includes a template formed with an easily torn apart material and having a pair of lugs which have free ends with pre-punched holes spaced at a distance from one another. The set further includes mounting brackets, each having opposite ends formed with openings and pivotally mounted on the lug by its one end to pivot in a position, wherein the other end is attached to a support surface. The set has a flange and handle assembly having a pair of recesses spaced at a distance equal to the distance between the pre-punched holes. The recesses are aligned with the pre-punched holes and are traversed by fasteners attaching the flange and handle assembly to the brackets upon removing the template. The set further includes an adapter enabling adjustment of a handle of the flange and handle assembly with respect to the support surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2000Date of Patent: January 30, 2001Assignee: Resources Conservations, Inc.Inventor: Michael Wales

Patent number: 6175972Abstract: A kit for installing a bath spout onto any one of a number of different pipe ends extending from a wall is described and includes a number of adapters sized to enable different pipe ends to be coupled into a standard screw thread of internal conduit inside the bath spout. One adapter enables the screw thread of a pipe end to be effectively enlarged. Another adapter slips onto the smooth outer surface of a pipe and makes a sealing contact with this surface while having one end provided with an enlarged external screw thread to mesh with a corresponding screw thread of a conduit inside the bath spout. An inner conduit is described which in one embodiment is made of a number of inter-connectable segments with which the length of the inner conduit can be adjusted and in another embodiment the inner conduit is formed of a single unitary structure with a several screw threads at a distal end to be able to adjust the length of the inner conduit with the removal of the distal thread.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1998Date of Patent: January 23, 2001Assignee: Resources Conservation, Inc.Inventor: Michael Wales
