Patents Assigned to RESPINOVA LTD
  • Patent number: 10668231
Abstract: The present invention discloses a device useful for facilitating delivery of drugs or medicaments to the respiratory system of a user. The device comprising a mechanism for interrupting the airflow during inhalation or exhalation performed by the user through the device by generating pressure pulses within the respiratory system of the user, such that the delivery of the drugs to the user is facilitated; the pressure pulses are selected from the group consisting of: inspiratory Negative Pressure (NP) pulses, inspiratory Positive Pressure (PP) pulses, expiratory Negative Pressure (NP) pulses, expiratory Positive Pressure (PP) pulses into the respiratory system, and any combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 10646668
Abstract: A pulsating inhaler comprising: (a) a fluid oscillator providing focused fluid columns with a series of alternating high and low pressure zones and (b) at least one outlet orifice adapted for delivering said focused fluid column to the respiratory tract of said patient. The fluid oscillator further comprises a piston which is actuated by a motor with an eccentric mechanism. According to alternative embodiment of the invention, the fluid oscillator comprises a rotating disc having a missing section.

  • Patent number: 10105505
Abstract: A pulsating therapeutic inhaler generating pneumatic pulses for treating respiratory disorders. The inhaler includes: a linear passage that has an elongate axis and is configured to conduct a fluid flow in a laminar manner; a patient interface fluidly connectable to the patient's respiratory tract having an aperture fluidly connectable to the passage; and a shutter disposed between the passage and the aperture configured to modulate a fluid pressure within the fluid flow. The shutter includes a disc having at least one cutout and rotating about an axis parallel to the passage axis. The cutout has four cornered perimeter thereof with two side portions and two circumferential arcs configured relative to the rotation axis. The side portions are circumferentially anti-symmetrical relative to the aperture.

  • Patent number: 9114224
Abstract: A device for the introduction of a fluid into a human's airway. The air so introduced has a carefully modulated envelope of pressure vs. time. The envelope generally includes sequences of pressurized air packets of controlled frequency and pressures. The device produces the packets using pressurized air occluded by a shutter action that “chops” and interrupts the fluid stream. The vibrations induced by the device within human organs have been shown to have beneficial effects on various bodily systems, such as an increase in heart rate variability, an increase in absorbed oxygen, and a decrease in absorbed CO2.

  • Patent number: 8875705
Abstract: An air delivery device (ADD) for applying fluid pressure pulses (FPP) to the mouth cavity of a patient at a predetermined frequency according to a protocol The ADD, comprises: a) an air blower for blowing air into a pressure chamber via a first opening (inlet); b) airflow occluding means (AOM) provided in fluid communication with said pressure chamber; said AOM located between said first opening and a second opening (outlet) of said pressure chamber; c) a patient mouthpiece or Face Mask, in fluid communication with said second opening (outlet); and, d) means for controlling AOM, adapted to interrupt and release said airflow at a predetermined frequency and pressure, thereby applying said FPPs to the mouth cavity of a patient according to a predetermined protocol during operation.
