Abstract: The elastically yieldable fastener comprises an elastically yieldable strip bent onto itself and forming two superimposed branches. A clamping device extends through apertures in the two branches for clamping the strip to the support of the rail. The upper branch has a boss disposed between the aperture of the upper branch and the free end of the latter and between lateral portions of the upper branch which are adapted to bear against the lower branch when the strip is clamped by the clamping device. The clamping device defines a lower surface for contacting the upper surface of the boss and the two surfaces have the same shape so that, in the normally clamped position of the strip, the portion of the branch carrying the surface contacting the clamping device is raised with respect to the lateral portions.
Abstract: Device for elastically fastening a rail on its supports comprising at least two fasteners each of which has a clamping member extending therethrough. The fasteners are disposed parallel to the rail on each side of the latter. They comprise a spring strip which has in the free state one of its edges bent and bearing at its two ends on the edge of the flange of the rail. The arrangement of the fastener permits resolving all the problems of flexibility and clamping force. The device according to the invention can be employed for fastening railway rails to all supports.
Abstract: This system for fastening a rail comprises an elastically yieldable fastener and a clamping device which extends through the fastener, an elastically yieldable block provided with a central aperture for the passage of the clamping device and a cap. The cap is in the form of a cup which is provided with a central aperture and is extended around the cup aperture by a tubular sleeve. The block is placed in the cap. The internal volume of the cap is less than the volume occupied by the block when it is compressed, whereby, in the course of the clamping of the clamping device, the lateral expansion of the block is limited by the cap and its axial elasticity is maintained.
Abstract: The fastener structure comprises at least one main bending strip which defines an aperture for the passage of a clamping bolt for the fastener structure. An elastically yieldable second strip extends transversely of the general direction of the fastener structure and is curved in the direction of the length of the second strip and has its concavity facing the main strip. The two ends of the second bear against the edges of the main strip.
Abstract: The spring comprises at least one spring leaf formed from a bar having a circular cross-section and flattened progressively toward each end. The portions of the bar defining the ends have a substantially rectangular cross-section. The center part of the bar is cylindrical. The flattened ends may be rolled round onto themselves to form eyes for the passage of spring fastening means. The spring may have a plurality of such leaves and for a secondary leaf devoid of eyes.
Abstract: A very light and high efficiency leaf spring made from a curved hollow tube with flattened opposite ends, cross section of said tube having a form which varies progressively from the center part of the tube towards each opposite ends but wall of the tube having the same area in any cross section throughout the length of the leaf.
