Abstract: A programmed computer having a processor, memory, and a storage medium, said storage medium is disclosed. The storage medium comprises code for receiving an identifier corresponding to a purchaser of a good or service in a retail transaction, data about the retail transaction, and data identifying the good or service, data relating to a social network account associated with the purchaser on a social network, and code for using the social network account to transmit to the social network for display to others a message from the purchaser associating the retail transaction with the purchaser, wherein the message includes information relating to at least one of the retail transaction and the good or service. The system further permits real time scanning or product codes for available discounts, code for retailer recommendation and product promotion.
