  • Patent number: 8132326
Abstract: A method and equipment for making a needle-fin tube having needle-like external fin parts, and internal fin structure formed by a spiraled spring wire which expands to clamp again the tube in the needle-fin tubes. The wire used to form the internal fin is wound along and around a bar which is moved and rotated along a straight line. The bar is moved inside the needle-fin tube from its one end to the other and the wire is released from the bar to attach to the internal surface of the needle-fin tube under spring force.

  • Patent number: 8096144
Abstract: A supply air terminal unit (10) has a body (11) with side walls, top and bottom walls and an opening cover, which is opened to allow access for service work inside the structure. A wall structure (12) formed by needle-fin tubes (100) is fitted around a central fine filter (13), whereby the needle-fin tubes (100) are placed on top of each other in order to form a filter wall (12). A needle-fin tube (120) has needle-like fins whereby in its tube a heat carrier is made to flow in order to transfer heat into the air made to flow through the structure or in the opposite direction. The fine filter (13) covers an air outlet port (A2) located in the bottom (11a5) of the supply air terminal unit.

  • Patent number: 5781987
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a needle-rib heat-exchanger construction including a band which is wound around a tube. Initially, cuts are formed on both sides of an elongate band and thereafter the band is passed through a series of engaging former wheels. A bottom part is formed into the band and top portions of the band are folded onto the bottom part. Needle-shaped ribs are formed to project from the top portions and are placed at an angle in relation to one another. The band with needle-shaped ribs is then mounted on the tube.

  • Patent number: 5669261
Abstract: A method and apparatus for bending a heat-exchanger tube, which heat-exchanger tube have heat-exchanger ribs preferably having a needle construction. In the method and apparatus, the heat-exchanger tubes are placed one above the other to be defined by one another to form a battery. The battery of heat-exchanger tubes is fed first into a first bending-device portion of the bending device in which the heat-exchanger tube is bent in one direction. After this, the tube battery is fed further, and the bending is performed in the second bending-device portion in the opposite direction of bending, whereby a wave-shaped form is obtained.
