The stack is supportable upon the first and second ledges in an intermediate position adjacent the storage extension guides. The stack is movable along the guides between the intermediate position and a storage position in which the forward edge of the lowermost panel is oriented below the rear edge of the lowermost panel.

The floor of the ski has one or more wheel openings to allow wheels to drop down to the deployed position. A wheel unit may have a single wheel or two wheels in tandem. Abstract: The present invention relates to a fluid collection method and assembly in which the needle is retracted inside the syringe after the sample is taken. A standard sealed blood collection tube is inserted into the outer barrel of the syringe. A double ended needle held by the syringe has one end inserted into the patient and the other end through the seal of the blood collection tube. After the blood collection tube is removed, the user inserts a plunger into the cavity between an inner and outer barrel which initiates an automatic retraction of the needle into the assembly device. In operation, a collet is expanded and a spring biased needle retractor is engaged in response to the forward movement of the plunger. The forward end of the barrel carries a wedge which force the collet to expand upon forward movement of the collet.

Abstract: A combination hypodermic syringe and needle device in which the needle is retracted inside the syringe after completion of the injection. The device requires only one hand for operation wherein increasing the pressure on the plunger initiates an automatic retraction of the needle into the syringe. In operation, a collet is expanded and a spring biased needle retractor is engaged in response to the forward movement of a plunger. The forward end of the barrel carries a wedge which forces the collet to expand upon forward movement of the collet. A vent located in the plunger allows air to escape from the interior of the plunger as the needle assembly is retracted.

Abstract: A retracting tip for a catheter set has telescoping barrels and a spring loaded cannula. Telescoping of the barrels into each other releases the spring compression on the cannula and results in the cannula being withdrawn into said barrels.

Abstract: A combination syringe and needle are disclosed wherein the needle assembly is mounted to a retractable element which retracts into the body of the syringe plunger. The needle assembly is mounted to the needle retractor which is spring biased to retract the needle. The retraction is actuated by releasing the forward end of the retractors from engagement with a collet positioned within the forward end of the syringe outer barrel. The collet is configured so as to clamp the forward end of the retractor and only releases the forward end when the collet is pushed forward, expanded, and disengages the forward end of the needle retractor. The pressure required to fully expand the collet causes the cap located on the forward end of the hollow plunger to collapse after being penetrated by puncture tabs formed on the collet base. The hollow plunger serves as a receptive container for the needle and hub forced into the syringe by spring biased upon release of the holder by the collet as it expands.
