Publication number: 20160163256Abstract: OLED display modules for large-format displays are disclosed. The OLED display module includes a matrix of OLEDs, with each OLED having an anode and a cathode, and an OLED drive circuit having electrical connections defined by rows and columns that electrically connect to the OLEDs in the OLED matrix. Groups of adjacent rows are arranged in parallel and groups of adjacent columns are arranged in parallel, thereby defining super pixels each having an array of four or more OLEDS, wherein the OLEDs in a given super pixel cannot be individually activated. The modules can be combined to form the large-format display.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2014Publication date: June 9, 2016Applicant: Revolution Display, Inc.Inventors: Jeremy HOCHMAN, Robbie THIELEMANS

Publication number: 20150289338Abstract: Various embodiments relate to an apparatus for controlling a lighting device. A light control circuit can use a controlled lighting sequence control and drive viewed sections of a lighting device to display chroma key color or emit infrared light, while driving other unviewed portions of the lighting device to display ambient and incident lighting. The viewed and unviewed lighting sections can be based on the field of vision of an image capture device and can change in relation to movements of the image capture device. A sensor can make measurements to determine the field of vision of the image capture device and can be used to generate or modify the controlled lighting sequence. An image processing circuit can generate a composite image using the chroma key while maintaining the subjects that are captured using ambient and incident lighting.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2014Publication date: October 8, 2015Applicant: REVOLUTION DISPLAY, INC.Inventor: Jeremy HOCHMAN

Publication number: 20150161938Abstract: Methods, devices, and apparatuses are disclosed. A device may receive display data and lighting data as a single signal, determine whether to display content associated with the display data, and determine whether to output the lighting data to a lighting element. The device may provide the display data to another device after determining to not display the content associated with the display data. The device may provide the lighting data to another device after determining to not output the lighting data to the lighting element. The display data and lighting data may respectively include data destined for different types of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The data destined for the different types of LEDs may be sourced from different sources.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2013Publication date: June 11, 2015Applicant: REVOLUTION DISPLAY, INC.Inventor: Jeremy HOCHMAN

Publication number: 20150083675Abstract: A modular projector cage for operably supporting an optical projector and for forming a stacked frame using another identical modular projector cage is disclosed. The modular projector cage has a rectangular hexahedral open frame. A mounting plate is connected to a bottom section of the frame by first and second articulated elevation assemblies connected to respective sides of the mounting plate adjacent the mounting plate front end, and by a yaw assembly rotatably connected to the mounting plate adjacent the back end. The first and second articulated elevation assemblies are independently adjustable to adjust the elevation at each side of the plate so that the pitch and roll of the mounting plate can be adjusted. The yaw assembly adjusts the amount of yaw, which causes articulated movement of the first and second articulated elevation assemblies.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2014Publication date: March 26, 2015Applicant: Revolution Display, Inc.Inventors: Vincent Dundee, Chris Taylor, Marcus De Luco
