Abstract: A pair of metallic beverage container bodies is sequentially decorated in a direct single file queue by a dry offset rotary metallic beverage container decorator. A container body has a common design element, a first unique design element in a first color, and a second unique design element in a second color on its outer surface. The first unique design element is located within a boundary of the second unique design element. A second container body has the common design element, a third unique design element in the first color, and a fourth unique design element in the second color on the outer surface. The third unique design element is unique relative to the first and second design elements. The third unique design element is located within a boundary of the fourth unique design element.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for printing cans with different print patterns in the same production sequence, without it being necessary to interrupt the production. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a process for producing cans, which uses a printing device, the can produced by the device and process, and a transfer blanket that is a graphic means that influences the final print patterns of the cans to be printed.

Abstract: A dry offset rotary metal beverage container decorator has a plurality of ink applicators, a plurality of printing plates, and a plurality of transfer blankets. Each printing plate has print surface engaging a corresponding ink applicator of the plurality of ink applicators and receives a quantity of fluid therefrom. Each transfer blanket has an ink receiving surface. Each ink receiving surface sequentially engages each print surface of the plurality of printing plates. The ink receiving surface has a plurality of blanket relief features of a photosensitive emulsion surface.
