Abstract: A recloseable zipper pouch includes a recloseable zipper with interlocking profiles. At least one of the profiles has a grasping flange with a free end positionable both above and below the interlocking profile, and an attachment flange below the interlocking profile and attached to the wall of the pouch at an anchored portion on the attachment flange. The grasping flange is unattached to the first wall between opposite sidewall edges of the pouch. The complementary interlocking profile is attached to the opposite pouch wall. Some pouches can also include an opening in a side wall of the pouch to provide access to a portion of the grasping flange.

Abstract: A zipper closure includes mating first and second profiles, which releasably interlock along a parting line along the side. A slider can be used to open and close the slider. The slider has a channel, which receives an ear on the second profile, and the ear rides through the ear-receiving channel to align engaging structure of the first and second profiles and roll them together into interlocked engagement. The slider has a splitter on a deflectable tab, which can be pressed into a notch on the zipper closure to initially separate the mating profiles, while moving the slider to direct the ear into an ear-receiving channel in the slider and deflect the ear to a side and pry open and separate the profiles.

Abstract: A connection device for fastening two expanded cellular confinement structures includes: an insertion member; an integral shank extending perpendicular from the insertion member; and an integral handle member extending perpendicular from the shank at an end of the shank remote from the insertion member. One or more barbs may project from the insertion member. The device can have a washer section between the handle member and insertion member. The handle can be curved, or it can be in the shape of a polygon.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing a zipper closure to polymeric film using minimal tension on the zipper closure includes providing first and second tension control loops, an eyemark detector, and a hole punch programmed to punch a hole in the zipper closure upon detection of the eyemark. The zipper closure and the film are supplied to a sealing station at the same speed, and the hole zipper closure is aligned with the eyemark on the film, to result in sealing the strip of zipper closure to the film resulting in minimal wrinkles to the resulting bag.

Abstract: A slider zipper closure system includes a zipper closure with complementary profiles of opposing tracks for interlocking and unlocking; the closure a first end stop and a second end stop positioned opposite ends of the closure. A slider device is positioned on the zipper closure between and engaging the first end stop and second end stop to selectively: (i) unlock the complementary profiles as the slider device is moved along the tracks in an opening direction; and (ii) interlock the complementary profiles as the slider device is moved along the tracks in a closing direction. The slider device has a first end stop engagement surface positioned inboard from the closing end and adapted to strike the first end stop.

Abstract: A child resistant slider includes a top member and a pair of spaced legs depending from the top member. At least a first leg of the spaced legs has a first tang projecting laterally away from a remaining portion of the first leg and a remaining portion of the slider. The first tang has a separator plow. The tang can be movable to move the first plow into a position to separate interlocked male and female tracks of a zipper closure. In other examples, both legs include a projecting tang having a separator plow.
