Abstract: A system and a method for controlling a set of bi-stable solenoids for locking applications which eliminates the direct connection of the power supply and solenoid by introducing a capacitor and a switch between the power supply and solenoid, thus eliminating the need of a dedicated h-bridge for every solenoid, and reducing the control lines required for each solenoid such that after the initial control lines, every subsequent solenoid requires only one control line to select the appropriate solenoid.

Abstract: A RFID tag enclosing structure withstands: temperatures ?200° C.?90 minutes; a maximum read operational temperature of 130° C.; water submersions ?2 m?2 hours; contact with alkaline acids with pH of 4-13; contact with solvents; severe vibrations having acceleration ?14.7 g at 40 Hz in three directions ?3 hours; impacts at an acceleration of 6 g for 40 times minimum; a tension of 120 kg minimum; and flexing at 60 kg·cm. The RFID tag enclosing structure includes a main body made of a vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer having an internal housing ending in an open inferior recess having a surrounding wall protecting the open inferior recess; an RFID encapsulator structure completely surrounding a superior portion of the tag. The RFID tag surrounded by the RFID encapsulator structure is inside the main body internal housing. The antenna of the RFID tag faces the open inferior recess and is protected by the surrounding wall.

Abstract: A RFID network system which allows the use of simple and low cost, reduced functionality RFID readers/writers thanks to the use of a plurality of concentrators which allow to distribute the processing work related to the reading, writing and verification of each reader, thus optimizing the use of each system component and achieving high processing velocities.

Abstract: An item tracking system using RFID technology for automatically monitoring the taking and returning operations of items from a storage location inside a working area provides an “on line” status of each tool as well as a usage history of each tool. Furthermore, the system knows which item has been taken or stored from which storage area by which worker and when.
