  • Patent number: 5210372
Abstract: An arrangement for ejecting objects from a projectile, includes a hollow projectile body having a nose end with a plurality of objects disposed in a column within the projectile body. An ejection charge is disposed within the projectile body at the nose end. An ejection device including a hood enclosing a cavity is ejectably disposed within the projectile body between the ejection charge and the column. The hood has a wall with an opening facing the ejection charge so that, after ignition of the ejection charge, resulting powder gases enter into the cavity through the opening to generate a gas pressure between the hood and the adjacent object and simultaneously exert a force on an exterior portion of the wall of the hood that causes the hood and the column to be ejected from the tail end of the projectile body, whereby the hood separates from the column once the hood and column are free of the projectile due to the pressure in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 5133260
Abstract: An arrangement for positioning a mine includes a mine housing and an inflatable, balloon mounted on a lateral exterior side of the mine housing. A gas generator is disposed in the mine housing and connected to the balloon for providing a supply of gas for inflating the balloon. A position sensor is disposed in the mine housing for monitoring the upright position of the mine housing and connected to the gas generator for controlling the supply of gas to the balloon in dependence of the upright position of the mine. A plurality of fixing nails are mounted in the bottom of the mine housing for fixing the position of the mine housing on the ground.

  • Patent number: 4986162
Abstract: A wedge-type breechblock arrangement for a gun having a breech-ring and being mounted on a gun cradle. The arrangement includes a breech wedge movable in the breech-ring transversely to the bore axis of the gun for opening and closing the breech end of the gun. A ramp is mounted on the cradle and a breech-opening shaft is connected with the breech wedge in the form-locking manner. A run-up lever is fixed to the breech-opening shaft and is in operative engagement with the ramp during an opening movement of the breech wedge. A holding device is provided for holding the breech wedge in an open position and for releasing the breech wedge to initiate movement to close the breech wedge. A blocking device is fixed to the cradle and includes a pivotally mounted blocking lever for pivoting into the path of movement of the run-up lever to block movement of the breech-opening shaft for limiting a first partial closing movement of the breech wedge.
