  • Publication number: 20040028263
Abstract: There is provided a digital zoom diagnostic apparatus that comprises a 6-milloion pixel digital camera that captures only one high-resolution color image of the entire face of a person to be diagnosed, calculating means for cutting out image data of a plurality of processing regions from the one captured image data to calculate skin parameters. The size of the image data of each of the processing regions is determined in advance according to respective calculation method of the skin parameters, so that even complicated arithmetic operations can be completed within a short period of time. The image data of the processing regions are then enlarged by digital-zooming and displayed on a liquid crystal monitor screen, and a printer outputs the diagnosis result in such a format that the digital zoom images are arranged in contrast with the calculated parameters, so that the diagnosis result and the parameter can be understood intuitively.

  • Publication number: 20040000226
Abstract: With a clip and a lower casing sandwiching a concha of a user so that the lower casing is positioned on the ear, a speaker generates a rhythm tone with a small volume in the vicinity of an ear hole of the user. A rhythm speed and type of the rhythm tone are set by operating switches with reference to a liquid crystal display. An integrated circuit has a memory device for holding recorded data of an analog sound and a reproducing device for reproducing an analog electrical signal from the recorded data according to the set rhythm speed and type to actuate the speaker.

  • Patent number: 6040517
Abstract: A rhythmic tone generator includes a casing that houses a rhythm signal generating circuit, a battery and a tone generating device, and that is positioned and held on the concha by an attaching device, so that the rhythmic tone generator is attached to the ear without being inserted into the ear hole, and operates to generate rhythmic tones right in the vicinity of the ear hole. On the rear surface of the casing are disposed a display device connected to the rhythmic tone generating circuit and operable to display a parameter representing the speed of the rhythm signal, and a push-button switch that may be operated with a hand while the tone generator is being attached to the ear.

  • Patent number: 5881326
Abstract: A shutter apparatus is provided wherein openings for defining a secondary aperture are formed in respective shutter blades, such that an amount of light transmitted through the secondary aperture is detected, and the drive force for driving the shutter blades is changed so that the amount of the received amount increases in the opening stroke according to a predetermined function. When the integrated quantity of the received light reaches a threshold value, the movement of the shutter blades is reversed, and the shutter speed is determined based on the integrated light quantity obtained upon completion of shifting to the closing stroke. Thus, variations in the exposure amount that occur upon reversal of the shutter blades are canceled in the closing stroke.
