Abstract: A language information system in which a patron in a given location, such as at a play, on a train, or bus, or in a hotel room, is provided with information, or a running commentary, or summary of an event taking place in a language of his choice. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the patron can select any one of a number of languages which are pre-recorded on a magnetic tape. The starting and stopping of the tape is cued by action taking place during the event.
