  • Patent number: 10579018
Abstract: A wristwatch with a gear train for rotatably advancing in cyclic steps a minute-units disk, a switching device for advancing a minute-tens disk and an hour ring which is advanced during one revolution of the minute-tens disk. The movement comprises a first and a second transmission chain connected to a release mechanism; the first transmission chain controls the second such that the second transmission chain transmits every minute a rotational movement force to a minute-units wheel. The release mechanism comprises a control disk, two release levers, each having a first and a second lever arm, and a release wheel. After each minute, a first lever arm falls from the control disk edge into a recess of the control disk and a second lever arm releases the release wheel, such that the second transmission chain rotates freely, allowing the minute-units disk to rotate one digit further.

  • Patent number: 9588494
Abstract: A holding and indexing device for integration in a setting device of timepieces, including a fixedly-attached bushing, an axially-displaceable and rotatable shaft mounted within the bushing, a transmission element attached to the shaft end directed into the interior of the timepiece and allowing the drive of a timepiece part in the interior, and a resilient element exerting a preload force in the axial direction of the shaft. The device additionally includes an indexing ring attached to the shaft in an axially-sliding manner and having an indexing toothing. The transmission element, on a side face directed towards the ring, includes a side toothing engaged with the indexing toothing due to the force of the resilient element. In at least one direction of rotation of the shaft, applying force onto the indexing ring causes disengagement of the indexing and side toothings, thus allowing a position indexing of the timepiece part.

  • Patent number: 9075397
Abstract: The chronograph mechanism includes a control device and a chronograph gear train designed to be driven directly or indirectly by a barrel, this chronograph gear train including a second-counter mobile and a mobile with a first precision corresponding to a first fraction of a second. The chronograph mechanism also includes at least one indicator which displays the seconds and first fractions of a second of the duration measured. The chronograph gear train includes an additional mobile (5) with a second precision corresponding to a second fraction of a second, which is driven by the mobile (3) for the first fraction of a second by a mobile (4) compensating the backlash; and the chronograph mechanism also includes an indicator for the second fractions of a second, which are smaller than the first fractions of a second, of the duration measured, which indicator is actuated by the additional train.

  • Patent number: 8689446
Abstract: A method for producing a watch case middle having reduced weight is disclosed. A 3-D data set is generated for the case middle, the model comprising at least one internal cavity within the case middle. The 3-D data set is converted into a plurality of layers, each layer representing a cross-sectional layer of the middle, and then the case middle is formed layer-by-layer from powdered material using an additive manufacturing process such as DMLS in order to provide the case middle with a unitary construction. Loose powder is removed from each cavity via one or more powder evacuation holes formed between the cavity and an external surface of the case middle, and a through hole formed through the middle is machined to a desired finish and/or precision, the through hole being designed to receive a control member stem when a watch movement is mounted inside the middle.

  • Patent number: 8235585
Abstract: A device for fastening a wrist strap, in particular a watch strap, to a case, in particular to a watch case, the device having a linking member, to one end of which a strap end member of the wrist strap can be fastened and the other end of which can be fastened to a wrist strap pin attached laterally to said case. The linking member has at the bottom thereof an indentation which is appreciably elbowed in longitudinal section and opens into a groove which is suitable for receiving the wrist strap pin and is oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis of the wrist strap. A securing element, which is biased against said case and has an interlocking projection located therein, is arranged on the linking member in such a way that the securing element can assume two positions.

  • Patent number: 7778115
Abstract: The depth measuring device for a diving watch with a chronograph mechanism, includes a plunger moved by external pressure through a rolling membrane against the action of a return element. The plunger acts on cams belonging to a circular slide mounted in a casing ring. The movement of the slide is transmitted by a gear train to a depth needle and to a dead needle. A pressure sensing device has a sliding plunger mounted inside the winding button. This plunger acts on a control device for automatically starting and stopping the chronograph mechanism. A locking device is used to lock and release the control device and displays a diving flag in the released position. The gear chain displays a safety flag at a predetermined depth. A resetting device allows the various mechanisms and devices to be reset to zero.

  • Patent number: 7575366
Abstract: The watch comprises a case (9) with a fixed part (10) in the shape of a bracket (20) and a mobile part (11) with a middle (21) and a movement (23) mounted onto the fixed part (10) so as to be able to swivel about a swivel axis (32) thanks to pivots (31) in order to realize a tilting motion of the mobile part (11) in two opposite directions. Two actuating mechanisms (44, 45) are mounted into the middle (21) and intended to transform the tilting motions into an action upon two control organs of functions of the movement that may be of the chronograph type. One thus obtains a watch without push-pieces, functioning precisely, having great stability and easy manipulation.
