  • Publication number: 20120187624
Abstract: A sheet conveyance device includes a support unit that supports a sheet; plural suction ports placed on the support unit; a suction unit that suctions the sheet toward the support unit, the suction unit being connected to the plural suction ports; plural valve systems, each valve system being placed between the corresponding suction port and the suction unit, each valve system being openable and closeable; plural valve interlocked suction ports that are to be covered by the sheet when the sheet is conveyed, the plural valve interlocked suction ports being arranged separately from the plural suction ports; and plural opening and closing units that open and close the plural valve systems, each opening and closing unit being placed between one of the valve interlocked suction ports and one of the valve systems.

  • Patent number: 7841591
Abstract: A sheet-supplying device has a sheet-accommodating tray, a raising/lowering unit, a first position sensor, a second position sensor, a controlling unit. The raising/lowering unit raises and lowers the sheet-accommodating tray substantially. The first position sensor detects a first position indicating a position in the stacked direction of one end portion of a topmost sheet stacked in the sheet-accommodating tray. The second position sensor detects a second position indicating a position in the stacked direction of another end portion of the topmost sheet. The controlling unit controls the raising/lowering unit to raise or lower the sheet-accommodating tray based on both the first position detected by the first position sensor and the second position detected by the second position sensor so that one end of the topmost sheet in the stacked status is positioned at a prescribed position in the stacked direction.

  • Patent number: 7651724
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing semiconductor devices implemented with improved steps of forming a sealant resin layer on the surface of a wafer substrate provided thereon with protruded electrodes. Through process steps of sending driving signals to a stage unit and discharging head based on the comparison with stage position information from stage position detector, and controlling the position of a substrate holding unit with the suction held semiconductor wafer substrate and the scanning movements of discharging mechanism such that minute liquid droplets of raw sealant resin are suitably discharged from discharging head, a raw sealant resin layer is formed on the surface the wafer substrate except the area for forming bump electrodes. The raw sealant resin layer is subsequently hardened to form a sealant resin layer. The reduction of manufacturing costs, and more precise control of location and thickness of the sealant resin become feasible by the method disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 7345733
Abstract: A light deflection element has a pair of transparent substrates 2, 3; a chiral smectic C phase liquid crystal 5 with a homeotropic alignment filled between the pair of transparent substrates 2, 3; and at least an electric field applying device 6 for activating an electric field in the liquid crystal 5. Because a chiral smectic C phase liquid crystal is used, the problems of the conventional light deflection element, such as high cost, light loss, large size, and optical noise etc. due to its complicated structure, can be greatly improved. The conventional low response time due to the smectic A phase or the nematic liquid crystal is improved, thereby the high-speed response is possible.
