Abstract: The present invention relates to emulsion science, especially within the area of alcohol-in-oil type emulsion, where the level of ions comprised in the alcohol-in-oil type emulsion is relatively high. In particular, the invention relates to a stable alcohol-in-oil type emulsion comprising a multivalent metal salt that may act as an antiperspirant.
Abstract: Thus, one aspect of the invention relates to a sunscreen composition comprising at least one sunscreen agent, at least one film forming polymer, and at least one solvent, wherein said film forming polymer is present in an amount of less than 2.0% (w/w). Another aspect of the present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a sunscreen composition comprising the steps of i) providing at least one solvent, at least one film forming polymer in an amount of less than 2.0% (w/w), and at least one sunscreen agent, ii) admixing the components of step i) to provide a sunscreen composition.
Abstract: An antiperspirant composition comprising AlCl.sub.3 and an aluminum salt of at least one organic acid dissolved or dispersed in a suitable carrier, said acid being present in an amount capable of substantially neutralizing the amount of hydrogen chloride formed by the hydrolysis of the amount of AlCl.sub.3 present, said AlCl.sub.3 and said aluminium salt or salts of the acid or acids being present in said composition in amounts corresponding to a total aluminium content of up to 3.0 gram atom per kilogram of composition.
