Patents Assigned to Riloga-Werk Julius Schmidt
  • Patent number: 5012552
Abstract: A blind with vertical slats has a horizontal rail for a row of trolleys which carry connectors for the upper end portions of slats and further constitute or form part of holders for the upper portion of a curtain. This ensures that the gaps between neighboring slats are bridged by the curtain when the slats are oriented in such a way that they permit light to pass between them. In addition, the curtain can be used to prevent penetration of any light, or excessive amounts of light, into or from a room when the slats are detached from their trolleys for the purpose of inspection, cleaning or replacement. The marginal portion of the curtain can carry or constitute a strip of velvety material which can strongly adhere to the barbs of one or more strips of "VELCRO" (trademark) or a like material which reliably secures the curtain to the connectors for the upper end portions of the slats.

  • Patent number: 4068345
Abstract: A curtain rod assembly for a shower curtain comprises at least two rail sections of identical profile and each formed with an upwardly open longitudinally extending channel, a downwardly open longitudinally extending channel, and between these channels with an upwardly, downwardly, and laterally closed longitudinally extending passage. A coupling element has one half snugly longitudinally engaged in one of the ends of one of the passages and another half snugly longitudinally engaged in one of the ends of the other of the passages so as longitudinally to join these two sections. A plurality of shower-curtain hooks can slide along the downwardly open channel and a ceiling unit has a headpiece slidable along the upwardly open channel and an upwardly extending rod that is secured to the ceiling. Two wall mounting members are each secured to a wall and have a portion engaged snugly longitudinally in the other end of the passage of a respective rail.

  • Patent number: 4042075
Abstract: A mounting assembly for a roller blind comprises a housing in which is rotatable a drive wheel by a flexible member such as a chain. A roller blind is connected to a shaft which carries this drive wheel and is, therefore, rotatable with the drive wheel for raising and lowering of the roller blind. A friction-type brake wheel is jointly rotatable with the drive wheel in the housing and has an outer periphery against which radially engage rollers carried on a pair of pincher-type levers whose one ends are pivoted together and whose other ends are interconnected by a screw device so that the force which the rollers exert radially on the friction wheel can be controlled. This force determines the braking effect between the shaft and the housing so that the blind carried by this mounting assembly remains stationary in any set position.
