Abstract: A sonotrode (33) for machining workpieces and a method for the operation of the sontotode. The sonotrode enables workpieces to be cut (1) and welded (5) simultaneously in a single work process. This results in substantially higher quality machined workpieces in comparison with the prior art. Cutting and welding occur in parallel in a single process.
Abstract: The invention relates to a sonotrode (33) for machining workpieces and to a method for the operation of said sontotode. According to the inventive method, the sonotede enables workpieces to be cut (1) and welded (5) simultaneously in a single work process. This results in substantially higher quality machined worpieces in corn-son with or art. According to the invention, cutting and welding occurs in parellel in a single process.
